Examine evidences in order to prove said bounder and Your petitioner as in duty bound will pray &c John Riggin Junr The petition being Read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that a Commission Issue to the aforesaid John Riggin as by the petition aforesaid ^is^ praid and that Thomas Williams, Thomas Dixon, William Colebourn & Solomon Colebourn of Somersett County Gentlemen be Commissioners to Execute the Same Commission according to Law &c Hugh Tingle Jun.r appoined Overseer of the Roads in Baltemore hundred in the Stead of John Onorton &c
to appoint Commissioners to examine Wittnesses to the bounds of the aforesaid Mount Ephraim, being Some what decayed and your petitioner as in duty bound Shall pray The petition aforesaid being Read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that a Commission Issue to the aforesaid Thomas Purnall on behalfe of the Said Benjamin Purnall as by the petition aforesaid is praid and that William Lane, Nathaniel Hopkins sen.r James Rownd and Edward Rownd of Somerset County Gentleman be Commissioners & Execute the Same Commission according to Law &c
undertakes to Educate and bring up or Cause to be Educated and brought up his Said apprentice in the trade of a Carpenter and to Read write and Cypher as far as the rule of three and at the Expiration of his servitude Give him abroad ax adz, handsaw, two augours and three Chyzells and new Suit of Cloaths ever & above his Common wearing Cloaths & Likewise Find and provide for his Said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing sufficient for Such an aprentice to have and wear during his Servitude afd &c whereupon it is ordered by the Court to ^that we find Angello Atkinson^ Give Recognizance with One Security for to Comply with the Covenants aforesaid &c Thereupon the Said Angello Atkinson with John Scott his Security both present herein Court acknowledged themselves to Owe & Stand Justly Indebted unto the Said Benj.a Warrenton in the Sum of thirty pounds Sterling Seperately of their Goods and Chattles Lands and tenements severally to be made and Levied for the Use of the Said Benjamin Warrenton his heirs and assignes if default be made in the Condition hereunder written The Condition of the above Recognizance is Such that if the above Bounden Angello Atkinson do and Shall well and truely educate and bring up or shall Cause to be educated and brought up his Said apprentice during his Servitude in ye trade of a Carpenter & to read write & Cypher as far as the rule of three & at the Expiration of his Servitude Give him a broad ax, adz, hand saw two augours, three Chizzells & new Suit of Cloaths over & above his Common wearing Cloaths & likewise find & provide to his said apprentice meat drink washing Loding & Cloathing sufficient for his apprentice to have & wear during his servitude afd then &c |
