    Therefore it is Considered that the aforesaid Christopher Glass Recover against the aforesaid Richard Parimore
his damages aforesaid to two pounds Nine Shillings Curr.t mony by the Justices aforesaid in form afd assessed
268   as also Two hundred and Eighty Six                        pounds of tobacco for his Costs and Charges aforesaid
to the Same Christopher Glass by the Court hereof his assent adjudged & the afd Richard in mercy &c

Somerset ss    Charles Richardson Late of Somerset County Planter otherwise Called Charles
Richardson of somerset County planter was Sumoned to answere unto Jam.s
Shirley of a plea that he render unto him fifty five pounds Fourteen Shill.s
       Currant money of maryland which to him he owes and Unjustly detaines &.c
       And Whereupon the same James by Levin Gale his Attorney sath that whereas the afd
       charles the twenty Seventh day of November Ann Dom one thousand seven hundred
       and thirty at somerset County within the Jur of this court by his Certain writting
       obligatory Granted himself to be held and firmly bound unto the afd James In ye
       afd sum of fifty five pounds fourteen Shill.s Curr.t money of maryland To be paid the s.d
       James when afterwards he Should be thereunto requested yet the afd Charles altho
       often thereto requested the afd sum of fifty five pounds fourteen shillings unto the
       same James hath not rendred but the said Charles the same to render hath denyed
       and still doth Deny and Unjustly detain whereby the same James says
       he is worse and hath damage to the Value of fifty pounds Like money and thereof
       he brings Suit &.c  And the said James brings hereinto court the writting
       obligatory afd with &.c      Levin Gale P Quere pledges Jno Doe  R Roe

       and the said Charles by Francis Allen his Attorney comes and defends the
       force and Injury when &.c  and saith that the afd James his Acction aforesd
       thereupon against him the said Charles to have and maintain ought not
       because he saith that at the time of the passing of the obligation afd ^to witt the^ twenty
       seventh day of November seventeen hundred and thirty a certain Mathew
       Dogan Charles Croson Rob.t Atkins and James Rowland being all as it is
       said in Custody before that time of John Purnell Esq.r Sher of somrset county in
       Execution for Sundry Deb.ts recovered against them here at Somerset County
       within the afd Jur of this court unknown to him the said Charles Richardson
       before that time made ther Escape out of the Custody of him the said Sheriff and
       by fraud and Deceipt did take from the said Charles Richardson aperriangoe
       and appurtenances belonging to the said James Shirley then at the Landing
       and in the possession of him the said Charles and with the said Perriangoe
       run away and made there Escape from the Landing of the said Charles
       Richardson the said Charles Richardson at that time not knowing the said
       Mathew Dogan Charles Croson Robert Atkins and James Rowland to have
       been in Execution ^in^ custody of the said Sher to have made their Escape as afd at the
       day of the passing of which obligation the said James Shirley did assert and affirm
       by fraud and covin to the said Charles Richardson that the said Charles Richardson
       was Lyable to pay for the said Perriangar ^as^ also all such deb.ts as were due and owing
       by the said prisoners and that some of them were in his the said James Shirley his
       Deb.t and that ^he^ the said James Shirley would Prosecute and ruin the said Charles
