 Somerset County ss     Richard Parimore  Late of Somerset
County Taylor was attached to answer unto Christopher Glass of a plea
of trespass upon the case &c
                         And whereupon the Said Christopher by Francis Allen his attorney Complaines that
whereas the Said Richard the twelfth day of August ann Dom Seventeen hundred and twenty
nine at Somerset County aforesaid within the Jurisdiction of this Court it was indebted unto the Said Christopher
in two pounds nine Shillings Currant Money as by an account thereunto annexed may in Court appear
and being so thereof Indebted the Said Richard in Consideration thereof the day and year afd at the County aforesaid
within the Jurisdiction afd upon himselfe did assume and to the Said Christopher then and there did faithfully
promise yt he ye said Richard ye afd two pounds nine Shill Curr.t mony when he Should be thereunto requested he would well & faithfully
pay and Content  Nevertheless the Said Richard his promise and assumption afd in form afd made nothing
Regarding but plotting and fraudulently Intending the Said Christopher in that part Craftilly and
Subtilly to deceive and defraud the Said two pounds nine Shillings to the Said Christopher altho'
the Same to doe the Said Richard by the Said Christopher on the afd twelflth day of august in the
year aforesaid and often afterwards at the County afd within the Jurisdiction afd by the afd Christopher
he was thereunto requested hath not paid or to him for the Same in any Sort Contented but
the Same to him hitherto to pay or in any Sort to Content hath refused and Still doth refuse
and deny whereupon he Saith he is worse and hath damage to the Value of four pounds
Eighteen Shillings Like money and thereupon he brings suit &c

               And the afd Richard Parimore in his Own proper person Comes and defends the force &
Injury when &.c and prays Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and he had it and
the Same day is Given to the afd Plft here also &c

    Att which Said next Court to witt the Sixteenth day march ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty
came againe the Said Christopher Glass by his attorney afd and prays that the afd Richard Parrimore to
his declaration aforesaid may answer but the Said Richard altho' Solemnly Called Came not nor Says
nothing in bar or preclusion of the action afd whereby the afd Christopher Remains against the
Said Richard thereof undefended &c

          Wherefore the Said Christopher his damages by Occasion of the non performance of the promise
and assumption afd against the afd Richard Ought to Recover  Whereupon the Justices here at
the prayer of the afd Christopher and by the Consent of the afd Richard According to act of
assembly in Such Case made and provided assessed the damage of the Said Christopher further
then his Costs and Charges by him about his Suit in that part apposed to two pounds Nine Shill.s
