1730 6 despaired and other harmes to the said Isaac then and there did do to his great Damage and Against the peace of the Right honrble the Lord proprietary his good Rule and Government whereof the same Levin Gale for the Said Lord Proprietary prays advisement of the Court &.c L Gale P Donn Propry Thereupon Command was given to the sher of Somerset County that he should take the said Stephen Winwright if &.c to answer &.c and afterwards in the Same Court Came the Said Stephen Winwright in his proper person and hath a hearing of the Information afd and being thereupon Demanded how he would acquitt himselfe of the premisses afd above upon him Imposed says that of the premisses afd above upon him Imposed he is guilty thereof and is willing to pay his fine for the fact afd Therefore it is Considered by the Court here that the aforesaid Stephen Winwright pay unto his said Lordship the Lord proprietary for his fine by the Court hereupon him Imposed for and by Occasion of the trespass & assault afd whereof in form afd he is convict One hundred pounds of tobacco and that the said Stephen Winwright be taken to Satisfie ^his said Lordship^ of the fine afd thereupon the said Stephen Winwright is discharged paying the Severall Officers their fees due by reason of the premisses aforesaid &c
Seven hundred and thirty at somerset County within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Committ fornication and had born of her body a bastard Child against the peace of the Right honrble the Lord Proprietary of this province his good Rule and Government and also against the form of the act of assembly in such Case made and provided whereof the said Levin Gale for the Said Lord proprietary prays advisement of the Court here in the premisses L Gale P Dom Prory Thereupon Command was Given to the sher of Somerset County that he should take the Said Ann Bright if &.c to Answer &.c and afterward in the Same Court Came here the afd Ann Bright in her proper person and being by the sher set to the barr is thereupon Instantly demanded how she would acquitt herselfe of the premisses afd in manner and form aforesaid above upon her Imposed says ^that^ of the premisses afd above upon her Imposed says that she is Guilty thereof and make Oath that a Certain John MccCormick is the father of the Child afd and is willing to pay her fine for the fact afd Therefore it is Considered by the Court here that the afd Ann Bright pay unto his said Lordship the Lord proprietary for her fine by the Court here upon her Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses afd whereof in form afd she is Convict thirty shillings Currant money and that the said Ann Bright be taken to Satisfie his Said Lordship of the fine afd thereupon the said Ann Bright gi is Ordered to give Security for the Severall Officers their fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd thereupon a Certain W.m Bowler of Somerset County present here in Court undertakes for the Said Ann Bright to pay the Severall Officers their fees due by occasion of the premisses afd &c Ann Goddard wife of Thomas Goddard being bound by Recognizance for her good behaviour and appearance at this Court and for as much is there was nothing Objected against the said Ann wherefore she Should Continue bound by recognizance thereupon the said Ann Goddart is discharged from the Recognizance afd &c
