5 here untill the next Court and he hath it and the Same Day is Given to the afd Levin Gale who as well &c here &c Att which said Next Court to witt the Sixteenth day of June anno Dom One thousand seven Hundred and thirty Cometh as well the afd Levin Gale who &.c as the afd Thomas Fletcher by his attorney afd and whereupon the Same Thomas Fletcher by his said attorney prays further Leave thereof to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and he hath it and the Same day is Given to the afd Levin Gale who &.c here &.c Att which said Next Court to witt the Eighteenth day of August One thousand Seven hundred and thirty Came againe as well the afd Levin Gale who &.c as the afd Thomas Fletcher by his attorney afd and thereupon Command is given to the Sher of Somerset County that Immediately he Cause to Come here twelve &.c who neither &.c to Recognize &.c becaus as well &.c of which said Preceipt the Said sher makes Return that he hath here ready twelve &c as by his preceipt he was Commanded and the Jurors of that Jury therein Impannelled being Called Came to witt William Handy, John Townsend Jun.r William Ennis John Massey Robert Mitchell W.m Colebourn Thomas Hearn, Walter Darby, John Gray Jun.r George Benston John Purnall William Mills who being duely Elected tryed and Sworn to Say the truth in the premisses upon their oath doe Say that the afd Thomas Fletcher is Guilty of the assault in manner and form afd the Indictm.t afd above against him Supposed whereupon all and Singular the premisses being seen and by the Court here fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the afd Thomas Fletcher pay unto his said Lordship for his fine by the Court here upon him Imposed for and by Occasion of the assault afd whereof in form afd he is Convict fifty pounds of tobacco and that the said Thomas Fletcher be taken to satisfie unto his said Lordship of the fine afd &c Thereupon the said Thomas Fletcher is discharged paying the Severall Officers their fees due by Reason of the premisses afd &c
twenty nine at Somerset County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Committ fornication and had born of her body a bastard Child against the peace of the right honrble the Lord proprietary his good rule and Government and also against the form of the act of assembly in that Case made and provided whereof the Said Levin Gale for the said Lord prory prays advisement of that Court here in the premisses and that due process of Law may Issue &c Levin Gale P Ld Prory Thereupon the afd Jane Thompson in her Own proper person appears and hath a hearing of the Information afd and thereupon the Said Jane Thompson says that she is guilty of the premisses above against her Imposed and makes Oath that a Certain David Dredon is the begetter of the Child afd and is willing to pay her fine for the fact afd Therefore it is Considered by the Court here that the afd Jane Thompson pay unto his said Lordship for her fine by the Court here upon her Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses afd whereof in form afd she is Convict thirty shillings Currant money and that the said Jane Thompson be taken to Satisfie his Said Lordship of the fine afd and further ye said Jane Thompson is ordered to give Security for the payment of the Severall Officers their Fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd thereupon a Certain David Dredon Jun.r of Somerset County Carpenter undertakes for the Said Jane Thompson to pay the Severall Officers fees due by Means of the premisses afd &c
Seven hundred and twenty Nine at somerset County afd within the Jurisdiction of this court did Committ fornication with a Certain Jane Thompson against the peace for the Right honrble the Lord Proprietary his good Rule & Government and also against the form of the act of assembly in that Case made and provided whereof the said |
