where this Deponant now stands and the said tree hath ben Since Remarked by the
by ye Land commissioners with five Notches on four side and further sayeth

The Depsition of Thomas Bruerton aged about forty nine years Being Sworn
on the Holy Evangelist of Allmighty God Deposeth and Sayeth that about
thirty years ago he was shewed by old John Persons a Pignut Hickrey Being a
marked tree by a Small Branch side near or about where a Seder Post now stands
where this Deponant now is and the s.d John Persons told this deponant that the
said marked Hickrey was a bounder of Thom.s Standbridges Land now in the Possession
of W.m Allexander the neck being commonly called Pegeys neck and this deponant
forder sayeth that the said John Persons hath several times sheweth this Deponant
a marked white oak on the South side of Gilleys mill branch and above the
said mill where this Deponant now stands and the said John Persons Told this
Deponant that the said White Oake was a bounder of Thom.s Standbridges
Land now in the Possession of William Allexander and farder sayeth not taken
before us this 14.th day of Janry 1730/1                                 John Caldwell

Somerset ss  Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the provinces of maryland
and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &.c  To Robert Mevin Junr James Neirie
William Holland and John Owten all of Somerset County Gent Greeting know ye
    that we have appointed you or any three or two of you to be Our Commissioners to Examine evidences
    on behalfe of a Certain Samuel Riggin of the County aforesaid in relation to the bounds of part of
    a tract of Land Lying in ye County aforesaid called Golden Lyon we therefore require you or any
    three or two of you at Some time and place as to you or any three or two of you Shal Seem Convenient
    you meet on the aforesaid Land Called Golden Lyon (you first having taken Your Oaths on the holy
    Evangelist of allmighty God according to act of assembly in such case made and
    provided and there cause to come before you or any three or two of you all such Evidences as
    shall be to you or any three or two of you Nominated by the said complainant or def.t and y.t
    you or any three or two of you ^examine them upon their Corporall Oaths to be by you or any three or two of you^ administred on the holy Evangelist of Allmighty God in the
    presents of the complainant (or deft if any) touching the truth or Remembrances of their
    knowledge or any thing that may relate to the cause afd and that reduceing the severall
    dopositions into Writing you send the same together with this our commission under
    your or any three or two of your hands to us to our County court of somrset with all
    Convenient speed wittness W.m Planner Gent one of our Justices of our said Co.t ye
    twenty fourth day of Novem.r  In the Sixteenth year of our Dominion &.c  Ann.o Dom
    one thousand seven hundred and thirty

    On the Backside of the foregoeing commission it was Endorsed and Likewise to
    the same commission it was annexed as followeth viz.t

    W.m Holland and John Outten and James Nairne the within mentioned commission.rs
    came before me and give oath on the holy Evangelist According to Law
    Janry the 12.th day                                                                              W.m Planner

    The Execution of the within commission appears by the depositions hereunto annexed
