56 the said Rachell then and there Carnally did know against the ^name^ of the Lord proprietary his good Rule and Govermment and also against the forme of the Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided &.c Levin Gale P don rof On the back side of the foregoeing bill of Indictment it was thus Endorsed viz.t Billa vera Charles Rackliffe foreman Thereupon Command was Given to the Sher of Somerset County that he Should take the Said Patrick Connelly if &.c to answer &.c and afterwards in the Same Court Came the Said Patrick Connelly in his proper person and being by the Sher Set to the bar is thereupon Instantly demanded how he would acquitt himselfe of the premisses aforesaid says that of the premisses aforesaid he is Guilty of thereof and is willing to pay his fine for the fact aforesaid &c Therefore it is Considered that the aforesaid Patrick Connelly pay unto his Said Lordship the right honrble the Lord proprietary thirty Shillings for his fine by Occasion of the premisses upon him Imposed and that the Said Patrick Connelly be taken to Satisfie his Said Lordship of his fine afd &.c Whereupon it is Ordered by the Court here that the afd Patrick Connelly Give Security Recognizance with Our Security in the Sum of thirty pounds Sterling Each to save and keep endempnified from time to time and at all times hereafter the Justices of Somerset County afd and their Successors for the time being as also the Inhabitants of ye Said County from all Costs Charges and troubles whatsoever for or by reason of the birth maintainance nourishm.t and bringing up of the Child aforesaid begott of the afd Rachell Hull &c Thereupon the aforesaid Patrick Connelly with Hugh Porter of Somerset County Gent.m his Security both present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves to Owe & Stand Justly Indebted unto his Said Lordship the Lord proprietary in the Sum of thirty pounds Sterling mony each of their goods and Chattells Lands and tenements Seperately to be made and Levied for the use of Somerset County if default be made in the Condition hereunder written &c The Condition of the above Recognizance is Such that if the above bounden Patrick Connelly do and Shall from time to time and at all times hereafter acquitt and discharge and save harmless as well the Justices of Somerset County afd and their successors for the time being as also the Inhabitants of the said County from all Costs Charges and troubles whatsoever for or by Reason of the birth maintainance nourishment and bringing up the Said Child and of and from all other Suites Charges troubles and demands whatsoever touching or Concerning of the Same then this Obligation to be void and of none Effect Otherwise &c
Court with force and Arms in and upon a Certain Mare An Assault did make w.th Intent to have Committed felloniously that wicked and Base Crime Called Bugerry and the s.d mare Carnally to know and other Harms to the said mar then and there did doe against the peace of our L.d Proprietary his good Rule and Government &.c Test Noble Tull Levin Gale P Don for On the backside of the foregoeing Bill of Indictment it was thus Endorsed vizt Billa Vera Cha Racklife foreman thereupon |
