    March Court 1730     55

Lying his hand one s.d white oak Stump saith that att the mouth of his gully was and is a Crooked
white Oak Stump about forty five pole distance from a Marked red oak y.e first bounder of a
tract of Land surveyed for Christopher Nutter Called Wilton y.e read oak afd stands on y.e North
side of y.e Branch a little below the horse bridge all one Nanticok River in Somrset County
and the said deponent saith that in Janury 1714 was a dispute between Matt Nutter Sen.r
and him about 37 Stocks of Timber that y.e said Mathew had Caused to be gott on said deponents
Land Which caused him to meat at said white oak att that time then the s.d Mathew & his
Brother Christopher Nutters was both in person at y.e Crooked white oake afd and in the
presents and hearing of s.d deponent y.e s.d Christopher said that his father Christopher
allways did say that that very white oake oak afd was the first bounder of Morris Lott
taken up by Jenkin Morris Sen.r y.e Said Mathew at y.e same time said that y.e afd white
oak was the first bounder of Morris Lott and the afd Mathew and Christopher his
brother held Equall Shares of y.e afd Land from the death of your father to the death of
Mathew Nutter peaceably without Molestation which was about sixteen years y.e said
deponant saith that all his life time he Lived within a mile of that place and that he never
knew nor heard of any other first bounder of y.e afd land but the afd oak and the afd deponent
saith that about that time he searched y.e Records and gott the Courses ^of the aforesaid Land and when he Compared with his own he says that neither the Courses^ nor all of the
pattent nor bounder could hurt s.d deponient and that if the af.d first bounder the White
oak had stood any where one the southside of the Creek ^afd^ and so deliver up this as a proof
that he's not interested in the proving the white oak and further saith not
Somrset County Stepney paris Febry y.e 2th day 1731 Ann Nutter aged forty three being
sworn on y.e holy Evangelist of almighty and Lying her hand on s.d white oake Stump
that she heard her husband Mathew Nutter and his Brother Christopher say that that
was the first Bounder of Morrises Lott and further saith not            Somrset County
Stepney Parish Febry y.e second 1731 Mary such aged sixty years sworn on the holy
Evangelist of Allmighty god y.t she heard her father Janken Morris say that the white
oak tump that my hand is now on was the first bounder of Morrises Lott and further

       James Timmons appears according to his Recognizance entered unto for his appearance and Good
       behaviour and for as much as no persons present moved for his being Continued bound &c thereupon
       the Said James Timmons is discharged &c

Samuel Riggin
Samuel Riggin Comes hereinto court in his proper person and prays that his appearance
may be recorded to Save himselfe and Securitys from a Certain Recognizance of Bail entered
into for his Good behaviour ^towards John Riggin^ and appearance at this Court &.c
                   Whereupon the Said Samuel Riggins appearance is Recorded and he and his Securitys accordingly
    discharged &.c      Whereupon at the prayer of the aforesaid John Riggin the Said Samuel Riggin is
    ordered by the Court to Give new Security for his Good behaviour and appearance at June Court next &c
   
                Thereupon the aforesaid Samuel Riggin with Henry Windsor of Somerset ^County^ planter his Security both
    present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves to owe and Stand Justly indebted
    unto his Said Lordship the Lord proprietary in the Sum of ten pounds Ster Each of their Goods and Chattells
    Lands and tenements for the Use of his Said Lordship his his heirs and Successors ^to be made & Levied^ if default be made
    in the Condition hereunder written
                                                                   The Condition of this Recognizance is Such that if the above
    bounden Samuel Riggin shall personally appear at his Said Lordships County Court of Somerset to be
