49 Whereupon the Said Eliz.a Nicholson with James Rownd her Security both present herein Court in their proper persons and acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the Said Nehemiah Cammell in the Sum of twenty pounds Currant mony each of their Severall Goods and Chattells Lands or tenements to be made and Levied if default be made in the Condition hereunder written The Condition of the above Recognizance is Such that if the above bounden Eliza Nicholson do and Shall well and truely Educate and Instruct or Cause to be Educated Instructed and brought ^up^ her Said apprentice during his Servitude in the trade of a Cordwainer & to Read Well in the bible and at the Expiration of his Servitude give him a two Years old heifer and a new Suit of Cloaths over and above his Every day wearing Cloaths and Likewise find & provide for her Said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and apparell Sufficient for Such an apprentice to have and wear during his Servitude afd then the above Recogn to be void &c otherwise &.c
Whereupon it is ordered by the Court here that a Certain Joseph Venables of Somerset County Gent deliver up unto the afd John Venables al the estate that he hath in his hands both real and personall that doth belong to ye aforesaid Robert Crouch and that the afd John Venables Receive the Same &.c Whereupon it is ordered by the Court here that the afforesaid John Venables give Security to Comply with the Guardian ship aforesaid Thereupon the Said John Venables with Samuel Flewelling his Security both present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the Said Robert Crouch in the Sum of fifty pounds Sterling mony of England to be Levied Seperately of their Goods and Chattells Lands and tenements for the Use of the Said Robert Crouch his heirs or assigns if default be made in ye Condition hereunder Written The Condition of the above Recognizance is Such that if the above bounden John Venable do and shall well and truely comply with the Laws in relation to the Guardian ship afd and Likewise deliver up unto the Said Robert Crouch all the Estate that he Shall have of his in his hands both real & personall peaceably and Quietly when he Shall arrive at full age to receive the Same &c then the above recognizance to be void otherwise &c
and find and provide for his Said apprentice Sufficient meat drink washing Lodging and apparell for Such an apprentice to have and wear during his servitude aforesaid Whereupon it is ordered by the Court that the aforesaid John Venables Give Security to Comply with the Covenants aforesaid Thereupon the aforesaid John Venables with Samuel Flewellin his Security both present herein Court in their proper persons and acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the Said Robert Crouch in thirty pounds Sterling Each Good and Lawfull mony of England of their Goods and Chattells Lands & tenements ^to be made & Levied^ for the use of the Said Robert Crouch his heirs and assigns if default be made in ye Condition hereunder Written The Condition of this Recognizance is Such that if the above bounden John Venables do & Shall well and truely Educate and bring up or Cause to be Educated and brought up his Said apprentice during his Servitude |
