48 that your worships will be pleased to exempt your poor petitioner from paying Levyes for him so hopeing you worshipfull Justices will Consider my Clemency and your poor worshipfull petitioner in in duty bound to pray The petition aforesaid being Read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the aforesaid Ezekiell Green befor the future discharged from paying of Leveys for his Son in law as by the petition aforesaid is praid &c Whereas a Certain Thomas Hobbs being by the Justices of Somerset County Court appointed Constable of Manny hundred for the Ensuing Year but for as much as it did appear that there was some disability so that the Said Thomas Hobbs and not Officiate and Serve as Constable afd Whereupon a Certain John Jones of Somerset County Gent and one of the Justices of the Same County did Qualifie a Certain Thomas Cary as constable of the Said Hundred for the Ensuing Year which is approved of by the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset and ordered that the Said Thomas Cary Continue as Constable of the aforesaid Hundred of Manny for the Ensueing Year &c
so that am forced to keep a Lain to the great damage of your petitioner so that I hope your worships will take it into your Judicious Considerations and allow me to remove the road to the back Side of my plantation which is both nearer and higher Ground and your petitioner as in duty bound Shall ever pray John Records Junr The petition aforesaid Read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had; wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the aforesaid John Records Jun.r have Liberty for to turn the Road as by the petition aforesaid is praid he first making the new Road as Good and passable as the old &c
about In consideration of which Service the Said Silas undertakes to Learn his Said apprentice during his Servitude the trade of a Shoe maker and to Read write and Cypher and at the Expiration of his Servitude to give him a Set of Shoemakers Tools and Likewise find and provide for his Said apprentice meat drink washington Lodging and apparell mete for Such an apprentice to have and wear during his Servitude aforesaid Thereupon it is ordered by the Court here that the afd Silas Chapman give Recognizance with One Security in fifty pounds Ster Each for to Comply with the Covenants aforesaid Whereupon the afd Silas Chapman with Humphry Chapman his Security both present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the aforesaid Elijah Chapman in fifty pounds Ster mony of Great Brittain of their Goods or Chattells Lands or tenements |
