Jonathan Porter in the peace of God and the aforesaid Lord propry then and there being an assault
did make and him the said Jonathn did beat wound and Evilly Intreat so that of his Life it was
Greatly dispared and other harms to him then and there did ofer to his great Damage and against
the peace of the Right Hon.rble the Lord Prop.ry of this Province his good Rule and Goverment
whereof the aforesaid Rob.t Jenkins Henry prays Advice of the Court & that due prossess of Law
against the Said Elias Beavans may Issue
                                                                   Thereupon Command is Given to the Sher of
Som.rst County that he should Take the said Elias Beavans if &c to Answer &c and afterwards
in Manner here (to Witt) the twentyeth day of June one thousand seven hundred and thirty
three before his Lordps Justices of the peace County Court of Som.st Now Sitting at Dividing Creek
Came the aforesaid Elias Beavans in his proper person and had a hearing of the Information
afsd and Says that he is not thereof Guilty and of this he puts himself upon the Country and Rob.t
Jenkins Henry Gent his Lordships Attorney in Court here who in that part Likewise followeth
Whereupon the same Elias Beavans Relinquisheth his Verification afs.d by him above
alledged and says that he Cannot Gainsay but that he is Guilty of the Trespass and Assault
afs.d in the Information afsd specified above upon him Imposed in Manner and form as by
the Information afs.d above against him Supposed and the Trespass and Assault aforesd in the
Information afores.d Expressly Confesseth
                                                                  Upon the being seen and by the Court here understood
all and singular the premises it is Considered that the afsd Elias Beavins pay to his said
Lordship the Lord prop.ry fifty pounds of Tobo for his fine for and by occation of the trespass and
assault aforesd in the Information afs.d Contained whereof he is Convict and that the said Elias
Beavans be taken to satisfye his said Lordp of the fine afs.d the said sher to Witt Joshua Caldwell
Gent present herein Court took Charge of the said Elias Beavins accordingly afterwards
the said Elias Beavins is ordered by the Cort here to give security for the paymt of the Severall
Officers Fees due upon the Information afs.d by Reason of the Promisses afs.d  Thereupon
a Certain Richd Knight of Som.rst County planter present here in Court Undertakes for the said
Elias Beavins to pay the severall officers fees due upon the Information of afs.d for and by
Occation of the premisses afs.d

here into Court before the Worshipfull Will.m Fasitt Esqr and his Associates
Justices of the Same Court Rob.t Jenkins Henry Gen.t who for the Right Hon.rble the Lord
Proprietary in this part Prosecutes and Gives the Court to Understand and be Informed that
Elias Beavins of Somr.rst County Planter the twentieth Day of June In the Year of our Lord
one thousand seven hundred and thirty three at the County aforesaid and within the Jurisdiction
of this Court w.th force and arms &c in and upon a Certain William Fleman in the peace of
God and the Said Lord prop.ry then and there being an assault did make and him the said William
then and there did beat Wound and Evilly Intreat so that of Life it was Greatly Dispared and
Other harms to him then and there did Offer to his Great Damage and against the peace of the
