1733 301 June ann.o Dom One thousand Seven hundred & thirty three and had a hearing of the presentm.t ^afd^ and being Instantly demanded how she would acquitt herselfe of the premisses afd upon her Imposed says that of the premisses afd above upon her Imposed she is guilty thereof and puts herselfe upon the favour of the Court and makes Oath that Moses Chaille Jun.r is the begetter of the Child she stands presented for but hath not wherewithal to pay her fine for the fact afd &c Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the afd Ann More be whipt with ten Lashes well Laid on untill the blood appear and that she be taken &c thereupon as to the Corporall punishment afd Command is given to the sher of Somerset County that he do thereof Immediate Execution by whiping of the afd Ann More at the publick whiping post with ten Lashes on the bear back well laid on untill the blood appear &c and afterwards in the Same Court Came the Same sher to witt Joshua Caldwell Gent and made Return that he had done the Execution of the Judgm.t afd as to the Corporal Punishment af he was Comanded thereupon the said Ann Moses Master to witt Christopher Glass present here in Court prays that the said Ann More may be adjudged to serve him after the Expiration of her Indented time time appearing for the trouble and Charge and Loss of time where the said Ann More Lay in and for maintaining of her Child and for tobacco paid on acco.t of the forego^ing^ prosecution which amounts in the whole for trouble Costs Charges and Loss of time and maintaining of the Child & tobo paid on acco.t of the afd prosecution [illegible] to Seven hundred and fifty five pounds of tobacco [illegible] Whereupon the said Ann More is adjudged to serve her said Master Christopher Glass after the Expiration of her Indented Servitude the full time of Eleven full months to Commence at the Expiration afd which Eleven month Servitude afd is adjudged full Satisfaction for the afd Seven hundred and fifty five pounds of tobacco damages and ^Charges^ paid as afd &c and that the afd Christopher Glass pay unto the said Ann More all her Freedom dues allowed by act of assembly &c Whereupon it is Ordered by the Court here that the aforesaid Ann More give Security for her appearance at August Court next to give Evidence against Moses Chaille Jun.r on behalfe of his Lordship &c Thereupon Christopher Glass of Somerset County planter present herein Court in his proper person undertakes for the said Ann More and acknowledged himselfe to be Indebted unto his Lordship the Right honrble the Lord Proprietary in five pounds Sterling good and Lawfull money of England of his body goods or Chattells Lands or tenements to the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors to be made and Levied If it Happen that the said Ann More do not make her personall appearance before the Justices of his said Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of august then next and do not give Evidence on behalfe of his said Lordship against Moses Chaille Junr and do not depart the Same Court without Leave thereof &c
