that it may please you for the Reasons abovesaid to free me from paying taxes in the said County and your petitioner
shall ever pray                                                                                       Charles Williams

                               The petition aforesaid being Read and heard and fully understood and Mature deliberation thereupon
had      Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the aforesaid Charles Williams be for the future
Tax Free as by the petition aforesaid is prayd &c


Michael Godwin
            Petn

          To the worshipfull Court of Somerset County Your petitioner humbly shews
that your petitioners brother Thomas Godwin is both dumb and deafe and that ever
since he was born also of a very turbulent spiritt and temper   Your Petitioner humbly prays your worships
would be pleased to clear and set free the said Thomas Godwin of and from paying Levies and your Petitioner
as in duty bound shall ever pray                                          Michael Godwin

         The petition afd being Read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had
                      Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the aforesaid Thomas Godwin be discharged from
paying of fines for the future as by the petition aforesaid is praid &c

Ordered by the Court that Capt John Smith appoint and order George West overseer of the Road a sufficient
number of Labourers to Clear Causway and keep the said Roads in good Repair that he is overseer of &c

              Petn

          To the worshipfull Justices of Somerset County Court was sitting the humble petition
of Arnold Elzey     Sheweth     that your petitioner hath a tract of Land lying on deep
Creek upon Nanticoke River called brothers agreement the bounds thereof being uncertain to your petitioner he
prays that Commissioners may be appointed to Examine Evidences to the bounders of any adjacent Lands for the
better Information of said Commissioners in Relation to said bounds and your Petitioner as in duty bound shall
pray                                                                     Arnold Elzey

          The petition aforesaid being Read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had
Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that a Commission ^Issue^ to the afd Arnold Elzey as by the petition afd is prayd
and that John Handy George Dashiell, Joseph Wailes and Thomas Humphry's all of Somerset County Gent.m be
Commissioners and Execute the Same Commission according to act of assembly in Such Case made and Provided &c

          To the worshipfull Court of Somerset County     sheweth          That Whereas your petitioner hath
an aged negro man past his labour near four score years old and thereby rendered uncapable of Serving
       Your petitioner therefore humbly prays your worships would be pleased to set free and Clear the Said Negro from
       paying his Levies and your petitioner as in duty bound shall ever pray      W.m Simson

                   The petition aforesaid being read and heard and fully understood or mature deliberation thereupon had   Wherefore
       it is considered by the Justices here that the afd William Simson be discharged for the future from paying taxes for the
       aforesaid Negro as by the petition aforesaid is praid &c

     The humble petition of the Subscribers sheweth that whereas your petitioners being Livers on
back Creek and on Annamessex and being ordered to Causway Roads between the said Back Creek and
       Annamessex and your petitioners thinking it most Convenient as also the Majorytie of people that Lives between
       the said Back Creek and Annamessex that there should be but one Road Cleared and Causwayed down the Neck
       between the said Back Creek and Annamessex the neck not being above a mile Broad therefore we pray that that
