295 work for him) humbly prays your worships will be pleased to set him free from paying tax as also make him some Small allowance for his Sutainance he being in a deplorable Condition of which your worships may be Better Satisfied by your worships petitioner and he as in duty bound will ever pray for your worships long to Continue The petition aforesaid being read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the aforesaid William Freeman be for the Future Levey Free as by the petition afd is praid &c
serve his Secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly every where willingly shall do and in all things as a good and faithfull servant shall demean himselfe towards his said Master and all his during the term afd &c In consideration of which Service the said Francis Henderson present here in court in his proper person covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially sitting on behalfe of the said Giddion Jones that he the said Francis Henderson during the term afd will Learn his said apprentice ^the^ trade of a weaver and to read well in the bible and at the Expiration of his servitude give his said apprentice a new suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and Likewise provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing and all Other Necessary Sufficient for Such an apprentice to have and wear during the term aforesaid &c Whereupon it is Ordered by the Court here that the aforesaid Francis Henderson give Recognizance with One Security for to Comply with the Covenants aforesaid &c Thereupon the said Francis Henderson with Benjamin Henderson of Somerset County planter his Security both present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves to be Indebted unto unto the said Giddion Jones in the Sum of twenty ^five^ pounds Sterling Each good and Lawfull money of England of their Severall goods and Chattells Lands and tenements to be made and Levied to be made and Levied to the use of the said Giddion Jones his heirs and assignes if it Happen that the afd Francis Henderson do not during the term of Servitude afd Learn his said apprentice the trade of a weaver and to read well in the bible and at the Expiration of his servitude do not give him a new Suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and do not Likewise provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing and all Other Necessarys Sufficient for Such an apprentice to have and weare during the term aforesaid &c then the above recogn to be in full force and virtue &c
