292 in the said County the One Called Wrights Adventure Containing One hundred and five acres the Other Called Wrights Choice Containing One hundred acres the boundaryes whereof are almost decayed humbly prays your worship to appoint Commissioners for to Examine Evidences for the perpetuating of the Same and your petitioner as in duty bound shall ever pray The petition aforesaid being Read and heard and fully understood and Mature deliberation thereupon had Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the aforesaid William Nelson have a Commission to Examine Evidences in relation to the bounds of the Land aforesaid and that John MccClester, George Scott, Joseph Wailes and Charles Ballard all of Somerset County Gent be Commissioners and Execute the Same Commission according to act of assembly in Such Case made and provided &c
or two of you to be our Commissioners to Examine Evidences on behalfe of a Certain Thom.s Brereton of the County aforesd in Relation to the bounds of two tracts of Land Vizt High Meddow and Hopewell Lying in the County aforessd We therefore Require you or any three or two of you at Some time and Place as to you or any three or two of you Shall Seem Convenient You meet on the aforesd Land Called High Meddow and hopewell You first having taken your oaths on the holy Evangelist of Allmighty God According to Act of Assembly in such Case made and Provided and their Cause to Come before You or any three or two of You all Such Evidence as shall be to you or any three or two of you Nominated by the said Complainent (or Def.t if any) and that you or any three or two of You Examine them upon their Corporall oaths to by you or any three or two of you Administered on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God in the presents of the Complainent (or Def.t if any Touching the truth or Remembrances of their knowledge or any thing that may Relate to the Cause afd and that Reduceing the Severall Depositions into Writing You Send the Same together with this our Commission Under Your hand or any three or two of you hands to us to our County Court of Somerset With all Convenient Speed Wittness Rob.t King Gent Chief Justice of our said Court the twenty Eighty Day of November in the Eighteenth Year of our Dominion &c Ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty two On the Backside of the foregoing Commission it was Endorsed as followeth viz.t Somerset County ss these are to Certifie all whom it may Concern that James Strawbridge and William Turpin son of William being two of the four Within Named Appointed by the Court to Examine Evidences Relateing the bounds of the Lands Within Mentioned Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for this County and Were Qualified ^according^ to Law by me Decemb.r the Second 1732 Henry Ballard |
