1730 29 made in ye Condition hereunder written The Condition of the above Recognizance is Such that if the above bounden William Booth do and Shall well and faithfully Learn his Said apprentice during his Servitude the trade of a Cooper and to Read and white and at the Expiration of his Servitude Give him a set of Coopers tools and One new Suit of apparell over and above his Common wearing apparell and Likewise at the same time a heifer of two Years old and Likewise find and provide for his Said apprentice during his Servitude meat drink washing Lodging and apparell mete for Such an apprentice to have and wear then the above Allegation to be void and of none Effect otherwise &c
persons acknowledged themselves to Owe to his Lordship the Right honrble the Lord proprietary in manner and form following to witt the aforesaid John Bishop and William Grooms in the Sum of twenty pounds Sterling Sterling seperately of ^their^ the goods and Chattells Lands and tenements for the Use of his Said Lordship the Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors to be made and Levied if default be made in the Condition hereunder written The Condition of the above Recognizance is Such that if the above bounden John Bishop shall personally appear before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of ^mach^ Next to do and receive what shall ^be^ Enjoyned him by the Court and in the mean time to be of the Good behaviour towards his Said Lordship and all other his good people then the above Recognizance to be void and of none Effect otherwise to Stand and remain in full force and vertue &c
Esq.r the Twentieth day of march anno Domini One thousand Seven hundred and twenty nine at Somerset County aforesaid (the said William Stoughton then and there being one of his Lordships Justices the peace within the COunty ^of Somerset^ afd to keep and divers felonies Trespasses and Other evill deed within the Same County of Somerset committed to hear and determine assigned) in and upon a Certain James Robinson of the parish and County aforesaid Clerk in the peace of God and the Said Lord propry then and there being with force and armes to witt with Clubs fists and Staves an assault did make wound and Evilly entreat so that of his Life it was much despaired and Other harmes to him the Said James Robinson then and there did to the Great damage of the Said James Robinson and against the peace of the Said Lord propry his Good rule and Government Wil Seckingham P Dom Pper Wittnesses The Reverend James Robinson Edward Chamber Patrick Lackey On the backside of the foregoing bill of Indictment it was thus endorsed viz True Bill Wm Lane foreman Thereupon |
