Honour Hally
We of the Grand Jury for the body of Somerset County do present Honour Haly for bearing of
a negro bastard Child at the house of Cap.t William Turpins in Somerset parish in ye County afd about
the first of August Last past         Capell King foreman

                Thereupon Command is Given to the Sher of Somerset County that he Should take the Said Honora Haly if &.c
       to answer &.c and afterward Came here into Court the aforesaid Honour Haly in her proper person and being by
       the Sherr Set to the barr is thereupon Instantly demanded how she would acquitt herself of the premises says
       that of the premisses aforesaid above upon Her Imposed She is Guilty thereof and Submitts to ye mercy of the
       Court       And for as much as there is due to Somerset County from the Said Honour Haly Seven Years Service by
       Reason of Such Inordinate Copulation as afd and birth of the afd Negro Child according to act of assembly &.c
       and Likewise by vertue and force of the afd act all Such Children so as afd begotten should become Servants for
       thirty one years to be Sold by Justices of the County Court where the fact did arrise

                    Thereupon the afd Negro Child so as afd begott of the afd Honour Haly is sold by the Justices of Somerset
    County unto the afd William Turpin the Said Negro Child to serve the said William Turpin his heirs and assigns
  1.     untill the Said Child Arrives to the age of thirty one years &.c  In consideration of which Servitude the afd
    William Turpin undertakes to pay to the use of Somerset County one hundred pounds of tobo

             Whereupon the Said Honour Haly is ordered to return into her Masters Service thereupon her said Master to wit
    William Turpin undertakes to return the the Justices of Somerset Court at the Expiration of her Servitude the
    said Honour Haly &c

    Somerset County    To the worshipfull the Justices of the County aforesaid now Sitting the Humble
petition of Francis Henderson Weaver Humbly Sheweth that William Stevens a bastard son of
Margaret Burke being bound by Indenture to your petitioner to Learn his art and trade of a weaver
                      One Thomas Lambden now detaines the Said William Stevens and very Ill uses him Your petitioner therefore
prays your worships to order the Said Thomas Lambden to deliver up the Said William Stevens to his Said Master
and your petitioner as in duty bound Shall ever pray

                         The petition aforesaid being Read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon
had as also the Severall allegations as well on the part of the Said Thomas Lambden as on the part of the afores.d
petitioner &.c   Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the aforesaid William Stevens be bound unto
a Certain William Booth untill he arrives to the age of twenty One Years the Said William Stevens being four
years of age next march the Said William Stevens to Serve the Said William Booth the full term of time afd &c

             Inconsideration of which Servitude the Said William Booth undertakes for to Learn his Said apprentice
during his Servitude the trade of a Cooper and to read and write and at the Expiration of his Servitude give
him a set of Coopers tools and a new Suit of apparell Over and above his Commone wearing apoparell and
Likewise a heifer of two years old &c
                                                               Wherefore it is Ordered by the Court here that the aforesaid William
Booth give Security for to Comply with the Covenants aforesaid &c

                   Thereupon the said William Booth with John Webb his Security both present here in Court in their
proper persons acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the aforesaid William
Stevens in the Sum of thirty pounds Sterling mony of their bodys Goods or Chattells Lands or tenements
for the use of the Said William Stevens Joyntly and Seperately to be made and Levied if default be
