March Court          1732               285

first Day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and
thirty two with force and Arms &c in the County of Somerset aforesd Within the
Jur of this Court upon a Certain Kathrine Mallison in the Peace of God and the
aforesd Lord prop.rty then and there being an Assault Did make and her the said
Kathrine then and there beat Wounded and Evilly Intreated so that of her Life
it was Greatly Dispaired and other Enormitys to her then and there offered to the
Great Damage of her the said Kathrine and against the Peace of the Right Honrble

On the backside of the foregoing bill of Indictment it was thus Endorsed Vizt
Ignoramus    J.o Donelson foreman      Whereupon the said Henry Tomlinson
Came here into Court in his own proper person According to a Certain Recognizance
by him and his Pledges in that part before acknowledged and thereupon the said
Henry Tomlinson and his Securitys are Accordingly Discharged &c

    whereupon the Said Henry Tomlinson is Ordered to Give Security for the payment of the Severall
Officers Fees due by Occasion of the premisses aforesaid thereupon a Certain Charles Curtis of
Somerset County planter present here in Court undertakes for the Said Henry Tomlinson to pay the
severall Officers Fees due as aforesaid &c          & LIkewise the said Charles Curtis undertakes to pay for ye said
Henry Tomlinson to the use of Somerset County One hundred and Eighty Six pounds for officers fees &c

William Tull appears herein Court according to his Recognizance to give Evidence and he and his
security is discharged &c

Nathaniel Roach appears according to his Recognizance to give Evidence and he and his
security are accordingly discharged &c

William Fotherell appears according to his Recognizance to give Evidence and he and his security
are discharged &c

Joseph Houston Came into Court in his proper person according to a Certain Recognizance by him
in that part before acknowledged for his appearance and good Behaviour and thereupon the
said Joseph Houstons appearance is Recorded and he and his security accordingly discharged &c

now is &c for the body of Somerset County upon their Oath do present
    that James Cane Late of Somerset County Planter the twentyeth Day of
    Janry in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and thirty two with
    force and Armes in the County of Somerset aforesd Within the Jur of this Court
