284 with force and armes &c in the County of Somerset afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court upon a Certain Catherine Mallison in the peace of God and the afd Lord proprietary then and there being an assault did make and her the said Catherine then and there beat wounded and evilly Intreated so that of her Life it was greatly despaired and other enormities to her then and there offered to the great damage of her the Said Catherine and against ye peace of the Right Honrble the Lord proprietary &c Rob.t Jenckins Henry P Dom Pry Test Katherine Mallison, W.m Tull Nat Roach, W.m Fotherell On the backside of the foreging Bill of Indictm.t it was thus Endorsed Ignoraums Jo Donelson foreman Whereupon the said Benjamin Hopkins Came here into Court in his proper person according to a Certain Recognizance by him and his pledges ^in that part^ before acknowledged And thereupon the Said Benjamin Hopkins & his Securitys are accordingly discharged &c whereupon the said Benja Hopkins is ordered to give Security for their Severall Officers their Fees due by means of the premisses thereupon a Certain Thomas Handy of Somerset County planter present here in Court undertakes for the Said Benja Hopkins for to pay the Severall Officers fees due by means of the premisses aforesaid &c
in the County of Somerset aforesd within the Jurisdicon of this Court in and upon a Certain Kathrine Mallison in the Peace of God and the aforesd Lord prop.ry then and there being an Assault made Did make and her then and there Did beat wound and Evilly treat so that of her Life it was greatly Dispaired and other Enormitys to her then and there offered to the grievious Damage of ^her^ the said Katharine and Against the Peace of the Right Honrble the Lord Proprietary Rob.t Jenkins Henry P Dom Pr Test Katherine Mallison, W.m Tull, Nath Roach, William Fothered John Turpin, Benj Hopkins, Henry Tomlinson, Thom.s Handy, Samuel Long On the backside of the foregoing bill of Indictment it was thus Endorsed Vizt Ignoramus John Donelson foreman Whereupon the said Charles Curtis Came hereinto Court in his own proper person According to a Certain Recognizance by him and his pledges in that part before acknowledged and thereupon the said Charles Curtis and his Securitys are Accordingly Discharged &c
