284 being given to us by Cap.t John Scott and Mr William Lane this 21.st of March 1732/3 Jno Donelson foreman Thereupon Command was given to the Sherr of Somerset County that he should take up the said Elizabeth Ainsworth if &c to answer &c and afterwards here at this court holden at dividing Creek in Somerset County aforesaid the twentieth day of March anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty two before the Justices of the Same Court Judicially SItting Came the afd Eliz.a Ainsworth in her proper person according to a Certain Recognizance by her and her pledges in that part before acknowledged and being Instantly demanded how she would acquitt hereselfe of the premisses afd Says that of the premisses afd upon her Imposed she is Gilty thereof and is willing to pay her fine for the fact afd &c whereupon all and Singular the premises by the Court here seen heard and fully understood It's Considered by the Court here that ye Eliz.a Ainsworth pay unto his Said Lordship the Lord Proprietary for her fine here upon her Imposed by Occasion of the premisses aforesaid whereof in form aforesaid she is Convict to thirty shillings Currant and that the afd Eliz.a Ainsworth be taken to Satisfie his said Lordship of the Fine aforesaid and whereupon the Said Eliz.a Ainsworth is ordered to give security for the payment of the Severall Officers fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd thereupon a Certain John Pope of Somerset County planter present here in Court undertakes for the said Eliz.a Ainsworth to pay the Severall Officers Fees due by means of the premisses afd &c
with force and armes in the County of Somerset aforesaid within the Jurisdiction of this Court One womans shift of the value of Eight shillings and four pence Currant Money of the goods and Chattells of a Certain Thomas Hall then and there found then and there feloniously Stole took and Carry.d away against the Peace of the Right Honrble the Lord Proprietary &c And Also against the form of the act of assembly in that Case made and provided Rob.t Jenkins Henry P Dom prop.r Test John Handy, Ann Candry Johanna Johnson Thomas Hall On the Backside of the foregoing Bill of Indictment it was thus Endorsed viz.t Ignoramus John Donelson foreman whereupon the afd Hannah Bartley appears according to her Recognizance for her good behaviour and appearance to answer &c And thereupon the said Hannah Bartley and her Securitys are discharged and upon this ye Said Hannah Bartly is ordered to |
