That your petitioners are possed with a tract of Land Called Greens Chance whose bounds are decayed and almost Lost Your petitioners humbly pray your worships to appoint Commissioners to Examine Evidences in order to prove and perpetuate the Said Bounds according to act of assembly in Such Cases provided and Your petitioners as in duty bound shall pray &c James Townsend Jno Sheldon The petition aforesaid being Read and heard and fully understood & mature deliberation thereupon had Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that a Commission Issue to the aforesaid James Townsend & John Sheldon as by the petition aforesaid is praid and that William Lane, William Handy, John Stewart & Robert Mitchell of Somerset County Gentleman be Commissioners & Execute the Same Commission according to Law &c
I have endured may it therefore please your worships the Said James MccMorie being by Indenture Oblidged to pay me at the Expiration of the Said term of Sixteen Years one ere and One Sufficient Suit of apparel that is to Say a hat a Coat and britches &.c as also by Indenture bound to teach me Your humble petitioner to Read the want whereof is a great Loss to me as your worships may easily Immagine &.c may it please your worships therefore to take Your petitioner into your worships due Consideration being your petitioner by God's Will is grown Indigent Scarce able to gett my Living by my labour being afflicted in my Limbs as by many can be wittnessed for which your worships Care in ordering the Said Mr Macmory to pay me my due as abovesaid your petitioner will be ever in duty bound to pray John Gurling The petition afd being Read and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had as well on the part of the aforesaid James MccMorie as on the part of the petitioner as also the allegations of both parties who were present here in Court &c Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the afd James MccMorie pay unto the afd John Gurling one ewe hat coat and britches as by the Indenture and petition aforesaid he was before Obliged to doe &c
Thereupon Command was Given to the Sherr of Somerset County that he Should take the Said Sarah Hull alias Davis if &.c to answer &.c and afterwards in the Same Court Came here the Said Sarah Hull alias Davis in her proper person and forthwith of the premisses in the presentm.t afd Specified above upon her Imposed being asked how She would acquitt herselfe thereof the Same Sarah Hull al.s Davis says that She Cannot Gainsay but that She is Guilty of the premisses afd in the presentmt afd |
