Whereas Severall of the Inhabitants of the neck between Back Creek and annamessex for the Clearing of a road down
ye said neck and for as much as there was an order made to four Gentlemen viz.t Davis Willson, William Turpin, Jeffry
Long and John Waters for the Laying out of a road down the Said Neck and forasmuch as they had made no Report of the
Laying out of the Said Road &.c        
                                                           Therefore it is ordered by the Court that the aforesaid David Willson, William Turpin
Jeffry Long and John Waters make Report and Return of the Said order at next Court &c


Ephraim Willson
        petn
     To his Lordships Justices of the peace of Somerset County the humble petition of Ephraim Willson
whereas the publick Road on the north side of Back Creek from the wading place goes betwixt two
Corn fields and putts him to a great Charge of making two fences he prays he may have an order that the Road Goes up the
west side of the branch from the wading place to be brought with a Straight Line to the Old Road which will be as near
for all to Goe as the Old road and your petition as in duty bound shall ever pray

                      The petition aforesaid being Read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had
Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the aforesaid Ephraim Willson turn the Road as by the petition aforesaid
is praid he making the new Road as Good and passable as the old and of as Little prejudice to any person or persons &.c


John Long

Thos Purnall
To the worshipfull Justices of Somerset County now Sitting whereas Your Petitioner John Long
Humbly Sheweth that he was brought a servant into the Country by Joseph Kamire for five years &
which said Kamire Sould your petitioner to Thomas Purnall or assigned his Indentures for the time
proposed and your petitioner has served his time faithfully and never absented himselfe from his masters service
day nor night and which Said Purnall unjustly detained him in the Service from the fifth day of aprill till the twenty
fifth day of may next so it has reduced your poor petitioner intirely to want Common Necessarys by Reason of
Loosing his Croos for your petitioner had Severall Offers for to Crooss it with people but being delayed so Long has Intirely
lost his Croos so hope your worships will Consider your poor petitioner and Give him an order for the time which
he has Served not Complyed Over and above and also for his fredom dues which he has not Complyed with and for which
Great Liberality towards him Your poor petitioner as in duty bound Shall ever pray

             The petition aforesaid being Read and heard and fully understood and Mature deliberation thereupon had
as well on the part of the Said Petitioner as on the part of the aforesaid Thomas Purnall &.c

       Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the aforesaid John Long from the Service of the aforesaid Thomas
Purnall be discharged and Likewise it is further ordered that the aforesaid Thomas Purnall pay unto the aforesaid
John Long his freedome dues allowed by Law and whereas the afd John Long had served his said Master Thomas
Purnall two months beyond the expiration mentioned in his Indenture and prays an allowance for the Same &c


Upon the mocon of Francis Allen on behalfe of a Certain John Broughton to be tax free he being ancient and Infirm
&.c whereupon it is Considered by the Court here that the aforesaid John Broughton be tax free for the future &c

Ordered by the Court that Robert Hill be overseer of the Roads further than his former Limitts from the main Road that
Leads to Synapuckson down new port next &c

               Chose his Guardian
^francis^ Thorowgood Drumond son of Drake Drumond Late dec.d being arrived at full age according to
Law for the Choseing his Guardian Came hereinto Court and prays that he may be admitted to Chose
a Certain Robert Nearne Jun.r as his Guardian which is Granted &.c  whereupon it is ordered by
                the Court here that the afd Robert Nearn take into his Care and Custody all the estate of the afd Francis Thorowgood Drummond
