Commission and affidavitts
Somerset ss:  Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of
the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of
Baltemore &c   To James Martin Edmond Hough Edward
Rownd all of Somerset County Gent  Greeting know ye that we have appointed
you or any three or two of you to be our Commissioners to Examine
Evidences on behalfe of a Certain Adam Spence Sen.r of the County aforesd
in relation to the bounds of tract of Land Called Midle Six we therefore
require you or any three or two of you at Some time and place as to you
or any three or two of you Shall Seem Convenient you Meet on the afd
Land Called Middle Sex you first having taken your Oaths on the holy
Evangelist of Allmighty God According to Act of Assembly in Such
Case Made and provided and there Cause to Come before you or any
three or two of you all Such Evidences as Shall be to you or any three
or two of you Nominated by the Said Complanint or Deft if any and
that you or any three or two of you Examine them upon their Corporall
oaths to be by you or any three or two of you administred on the holy
Evangelist of Allmighty God in the Presents of the Complaniant (or Deft
if any touching the truth or remembrances of their knowledge of their
knowledge or any thing that May relate to the Cause aforesd and that
Reducing the Severall Depositions into Writting you Send the same
together with this our Commission Under your or any three or two of your
hands to us to our County Court of Somerset with all Conveniences Speed Wittness
Wittness Sam Hopkins Gent Chief Justices of our said Court the twenty fifth day
of March Ann Dom one thousand Seven hundred and thirty one from it
one backside of the foregoing Comission it was Endorsed Vizt
