234 and three pence he said Robert his promise and assumption aforesaid made nothing regarding but plotting and fraudulently intending the said Luke craftilly and Subtilly to deceive and defraud the said two pounds seventeen shillings and eleven pence to the said Luke on the aforesaid fifteenth day of aprill in the year aforesaid and often afterwards at somerset County aforesaid and within the Jurisdiction aforesaid he was thereunto requested hath not paid or to him for the Same in any sort contented but the Same to him hitherto to pay or Content hath refused and denyed and Still doth deny and refuse whereupon the said Luke saith he is worse and hath damage to five pounds Curr.t money of maryland aforesaid and thereupon he brings Suit &c pledges &c Jno Doe & R Roe
And the aforesaid Robert Bevill by Francis Allen his attorney Cometh and defendeth the force and Injury when &c and prays Leave thereof to Imparle here untill next Court and he hath it and the same day is given to the aforesaid Luke here also &c Att which said next Court to witt the Sixteenth day of November Anno Dom One thousand seven hundred and thirty One Came againe as well the aforesaid Luke Bowen as the aforesaid Robert Bevill by their attorneys aforesaid And thereupon the Said robert prays further Leave thereof to Imparle here untill next Court and he hath it and the Same day is Given to the aforesaid Luke Bowen here also &c Att which said next Court to witt the twenty first day of March anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty One Came againe as well the aforesaid Luke Bowen as the aforesaid Robert Bevill by their attorneys aforesaid and thereupon the Said Robert prays further Leave thereof to Imparle here untill next Court and he hath it and the Same day is given to the aforesaid Luke Bowen here also &c Att which said next Court to witt the twentieth day of June anno Dom One thousand seven hundred and thirty two Came againe as well the aforesaid Luke Bowen as the aforesaid Robert Bevill by their attorneys aforesaid and ^thereupon^ the Said Robert Bevill prays further Leave thereof to Imparle hereunto untill the next next Court and he hath it and the same day is Given to the afd Luke Bowen here also &c Att which said next Court to witt the fifteenth day of august ann.o Dom One thousand seven hundred and thirty two Came again as well the aforesaid Luke Bowen as the aforesaid Robert Bevill by their attorneys aforesaid and thereupon the said Robert Bevill as before defends the force and Injury when &c and saith that he did not assume upon himselfe in manner and form as the said |
