224 here that the Said Avery Morgan pay unto his Said Lordship the Lord proprietary for the use of the County afd for his fine by the Court here upon him Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses aforesaid whereof in form aforesaid he is Convict thirty shillings Currant Money and that the Said Avery Morgan be taken to satisfie his said Lordship of the fine aforesaid whereupon It is Ordered by the Court here that the said Avery Morgan Give Security for the payment of the Severall Officers Fees due by Occasion of the premisses Thereupon a Certain John Paty and John Cambell of the County aforesaid planters present here in Court undertakes for the said Avery Morgan to pay the Severall Officers Fees due by means of the premisses aforesaid &c Likewise it is Ordered by the Court here that the aforesaid Avery Morgan Give Security to save and keep Endempnified from time to time and at all times forever hereafter the Justices of Somerset County & their Successors for the time being as also the Inhabitants of the Same County from all Costs Charges and troubles whatsoever that might accrew by means of a bastard Child Lately begott on the body of a Certain Aberilla Peal &c Whereupon the said Avery Morgan with Richard Holland John Cambell of Somerset County planters his Securitys all present herein Court acknowledged themselves to Owe and stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship the right honrble the Lord proprietary (to witt) the Said Avery Morgan in forty pounds Ster and the Said Richard Holland and John Paty in twenty pounds Ster of their severall Goods and Chattells Lands and tenements Joyntly or Severally to be made & Levied to the Use of the County afd If it happen the aforesaid Avery Morgan do not from time to time and at all Times hereafter acquit Discharge and Save Harmless as well the Justices of Somerset County and the their Successors for the time Being as also the Inhabitants of the Same County of and from all Costs Charges and toubles for or by reason of the birth Maintainance Nourishing and bringing up of a bastard Child Lately begott of of a Certain Aberrilla Peal and of and from all other Suits Charges troubles and Demands Whatsoever touching or Concerning the Same &c
of Jona in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and thirty one with force and armes &c at the County of Somerset afd in and upon a Certain Catherine Dorman in the peace of God and the afd Lord proprietary then and there being an assault made and her then and there beat wounded and Evill Intreated so that of her Life it was Greatly Despaired and other Enormitys to her then and there offered to the Grievous Damage of them the Said Catherine and against the peace of the R.t Honble the Lord proprietary thereupon Command was Given to the sher of Somerset County that he should take ye Said Dorman Heath if &c to answer &c and afterwards here at this Court held for Somerset County at dividing Creek in the Same County the fifteenth day of august anno Dom One thousand seven hundred |
