211 the Care of her the Said Mary which we find by the Information given us to be Some time in the Year Seventeen hundred twenty Six accordingly he returned under her Care and Continued in her Servise Untill he Entred upon the Seventeen hundred Year of his age about a month or two and then Left his said Mistress within which time he Acknowledges to have receved Seven months Schooling by which means he Can now read the Said Mary Walston doth further Declare she had procur'd paper to have him taught to write when he went away from her for which reasons in our humble opinion the Said Terrell Brown had not any Just cause of Action all which we Submitt to the Judgment of the Court given Under our hands and Seals the day and Year above Rob.t King (seal) Tho.s Williams (seal) which being read and heard Therefore it is Considered that the aforesaid Tirrill Brown and take nothing by his writt aforesaid but be in mercy for his falce Clamour and that the aforesaid Boaz Walston and Mary his wife Goe thereof without day and further it is Considered by the Court here that the aforesaid Boaz Walston and Mary his wife recover against the aforesaid Tirrill Brown 188 One hundred & Eighty Eight pounds of tobacco for their Costs and Charges by them about their defence in that part Sustained to the Same Boaz and Mary by the Court here according to the form of the Statute in Such made and provided of the assent adjudged and that the afd Boaz and Mary have thereof Execution &c
Day of Octob.r Ann Dom one thousand Seven hundred and thirty one at Somerset County within the Jurisdiction of this Court was Indebted unto the Same John in one pounds fifteen Shillings and Eight Pence Current money as by Account hereunto annexed may appear and so thereof being Indebted the Said Will.m afterwards to wit the Same day and year afd at the County afd and Within the ^afd^ Jur In Consideration thereof upon himselfe assumed and toe the Said John then and there faithfully did Promise that he when afterwards he Should be thereto requested he the afd Sum of one pounds fifteen Shillings and Eight pence to the Same John well and faithfully would Cotet and pay Nevertheless the said William his Promise and Assumption aforesd in forme afd made Little regarding but Protting and fraudulently |
