Justices for the County aforesd the peace to keep assigned that W.m Shockly Late
of this County Planter is Actually run away and has or is about to remane
his Effects out of the Said County to Deceive his Credittors you are here by required
to Issue an Attachment on behalf of Adam Spence Sen for the Sum as
in the Account herewith Sent you proved will make appear as also what
Cost Shall or may Accrew upon the Same According to the Act of Assembly in
Such Case made and provided and for your so doing this Shall be your Warrant
Wittness my hand this 18th day of Aprile 1732                  Jam.s Martin

To M.r Thomas Hayward Clk of Somrset County

In Pursuance to an act of Assembly of this Province now in force and in
obediance to the aforesd warrent the folowing Attachment was Issued against
the goods and Chattells Rights or Creditts of the aforesd William Shockley the
tenor whereof foloweth in these words Vizt      Somerset ss  Charles
absolute Lord and proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon
Lord Baron of baltemore &c    To the Sher of Somerset County greeting we
Comand you that you Attach any the goods Chattells Rights or Creditts of
William Shockley Jun Late of Somerset County Planter if they shall
be found in your bailywick to the Value of Fifteen Shillings and Eleven
Pence Currant Money and two hundred and fifty pounds of Tobacco and
when you have the Same Attached or any part thereof the same in your
Custody safe keep so that you have the same before our Justices of our
County Court of Somerset to be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of June
Next then and there to be Condemned According to act of Assembly to and
for the Use of a Certain Adam Spence Sen.r unless the Said Will.m Shockley
by himself or his Attorney Shall Appear and Answere unto the said Adam
Spence Sen.r in a plea of trespass upon the Case &c    According to Law and
that by good and Lawfull men of your bailywick you make known unto
the Person and Persons in whose hands you made make the Same Attachment
that he she or they be and appear before our Justices of our County Court to be
held as aforesd to Shew Cause if any he she or they have Why the Same
goods Chattells Rights or Creditts so Attached in his her or their hands
ought not to be Condemned and Execution thereof had and made According
to act of Assembly in Such Case made and provided if to him her or them it
Seem meet and how you Shall Execute this writt that you make known
unto our said Justices at the day and place aforesd and have you then and
there this writt Wittness Samuel Hopkins Gent Chief Justices of our said
Court the twenty fifth day of March In the Seventeenth Year of our Dominion
&c Ann Dom one thousand Seven hundred and thirty two
