           June Court        1732                 195

here in Court in his proper person Relinquisheth his Verification aforesaid by him above pretended and Submits
with a protestation of his Innocency and puts himselfe upon the favour of the Court &c

       whereupon all and Singular the premisses by the Court here being Seen heard and fully understood
It is Considered by the Court here that the aforesaid Martin Henry pay to his Lordship the Lord proprietary
for his fine by the Court hereupon him Imposed for and by Occasion of the trespass and assault aforesaid
whereof in form aforesaid he is Convict two hundred pounds of tobacco and that the Said Martin Henry be
taken to satisfie his Said Lordship of the fine aforesaid      Likewise the Said Martin Henry is Committed under
Custody of the sher of Somerset County thereto remaine untill he satisfie unto the Severall Officers ^their^ fees due
by Occasion of the premisses &c whereupon the Said sher to witt Joshua Caldwell Gent present herein Court took Charge
of the Said martin Henry accordingly &c

                                     The Jurors for the Right Honrble the Lord proprietary that now is &c
for the body of Somerset County upon their oath do present that Thomas Lord
late of Somerset County Labourer the twentieth day of June in the year of
our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and thirty two with force and armes &c in
the County of Somerset aforesd in and upon a Certain Thomas Dunkan in the peace of
God and the aforesd Lord proprietary then and there being an assault made and him
the Said Thomas Dunkan then and there beat Wounded and Evil Intreated so that
of his Life it was Greatly Despaired and other Enormitys to him then and there
offered to the great Damage of him the Said Thomas Dunkan and against the
peace of the Right Hon.rble the Lord proprietary &c    T Bluett p Dom propr
Thereupon Command was given to the Sher of Somerset County that he Should take
the Said Thomas Lord if &c to answere &c  And afterwards in ^the^ this same Court
before his Lordships Justices at Dividing Creek to witt the twentieth day of June
Ann Dom one thousand Seven hundred and thirty two Came the aforesd Tho.s
Lord in his proper person Comes and Defends the force and Injury when &c
and says that he Cannot deny but that he is Gilty of the trespass and Assault afd
in the Indictment aforesd Specified above upon him Imposed in manner
and forme as by the Indictment aforesd above against him Supposed whereupon
all and Singular the Premise by the Court ^here^ being ^seen &^ fully Understood
It is Considered by the Court here that the afd Thomas Lord pay to his Lordship
the Lord proprietary for his fine by ^the^ Court here upon him Imposed for and by Occasion
of the trespass and assault aforesaid whereof in form aforesaid he is Convict fifty pounds of tob.o
and that the said Thomas Lord be taken to Satisfie his Said Lordship of the fine afd &c Likewise the sd
Thomas Lord is Committed by the Court here under the ^Custody of the^ sher of somerset County thereto remain until he Satisfie
unto the Severall Officers fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd thereupon the Said sher
to witt Jos Cadwell Gent present here in Court took Charge of ye Said Thos Lord accordingly &c
