194 and Levin Gale Esq.r who for his said Lordship in that part followeth Likewise &c whereupon the aforesaid John Webb prays Leave ^thereof^ to Imparle here untill next Court and he had it and the same day is Given to the aforesaid Levin Gale Esq.r who &c att which said Next Court to witt the twentieth day of June ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and thirty two Came here as well the afd Levin Gale Esqr who &c as the aforesd John Webb in his proper person and the Said John Webb relinquisheth his verification ^afd^ by him above pretended says that he Cannot deny but that he is Gilty of the premisses aforesaid in the Information afd specified above upon him Imposed in manner and form as by the Information afd above against him supposed whereupon all and Singular the premisses by the Court being fully understood Therefore it is Considered that the aforesaid John Webb pay to his Said Lordship the Lord proprietary Six hundred pounds of tobacco for his fine ^for^ the fornication in the Information aforesaid Contained whereof he is Convict (to the Use of Somerset County) and that the ^afd^ John Webb be taken &c and afterwards at the prayer of the afd Levin Gale Esqr the aforesaid John Webb is Committed into the Custody of the Sher of Somerset County untill he pays the fine afd and all the Officers Fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd the said sher present here in Court took Charge of the Said John Webb accordingly &c
Seven hundred and thirty One with force and armes &c at the County of Somerset aforesaid in and upon a Certain John Goldsmith in the peace of God and the aforesaid Lord proprietary then and there being an assault made and him then and there beat wounded and well Intreated so that of his Life it was Greatly despaired and other Enormities to him then and there offered to the Grievous damage of him ye said John and against the peace of the right honrble the Lord propry &c T Bluett P Dom propry the above Bill of Indictment sent up to the Grand Jury with the Leave of the Court Test Joseph Harding, John Floyd Thos Hayward Cl On the backside of the foregoeing Bill of Indictment it was thus Endorsed vizt Billa Vera Jam.s Rownd Foreman &c Now here at this day to witt the twentieth day of June One thousand Seven hundred and thirty two before his Lordships Justices of the County Court of Somerset Now held at dividing Creek Cometh the aforesaid William Horsey in his proper person under Custody of the Sher of the aforesaid County of Somerset and hath a hearing of the Indictment aforesaid and Saith that he is not Gilty thereof and of this he puts himselfe upon the Country and Thomas Bluet who for his said Lordship in that part followeth Likewise &c Thereupon Command was Given to the Coroners of Somerset County that Immediately they should Cause to Come here Twelve &c by whom &c who neither &c to recognize &c becaus as well &c and afterwards in the Same Court Came the Coroners afd to witt William Lane and Henry Ballard Gentm and Returned that they |
