His Lordship

Mary Pointer
 Whereas a Certain Mary Pointer did Lately Suffer herselfe to be begott with Child
and had born of her body a bastard Child and the same being Likely to become
a Charge to the County &c the Said Mary Pointer present herein Court is ordered to
Give Security to Save Harmless the Justices of somerset County and their Successors for the time
being as also the Inhabitants of Said County from all Costs Charges and troubles whatsoever for or by
reason of the birth maintainance & bringing up of the Said Child &c

       Whereupon a Certain Edward Pointer of Somerset County planter present here in Court in his proper
person ackno undertakes for the Said Mary Pointer and acknowledged himselfe to owe & be
Indebted unto his Lordship his right honrble the Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors in the
sum of fifteen pounds sterling good and Lawfull money of England to be Levied of his Goods &
Chattells Lands and tenements to the use of the aforesaid County of Somerset if it Happen
that the aforesaid Edward Pointer his heirs Executors and administrators do not from time to time
and at al times hereafter acquit discharge and Save harmless as well the Justices of Somerset
County afd and their Successors for the time being as also the Inhabitants of the same County of &
from all Costs Charges and troubles whatsoever for or by reason of the birth maintainance Nourishing
and bringing up of the Said Child   and also do not save & keep them Indepnified from all other
suites Charges troubles and demands whatsoever touching or Concerning the same   then ye above
Recognizance to be in full force and vertue otherwise &c

Dorman Heath
 Dorman Heath appears according to his Recognizance and is discharged and is ordered
to Give New Recognizance for his Good behaviour and appearance at August Court
next &c
                  whereupon the Said Dorman Heath with Michael Dorman his Security both
          present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly
Indebted unto his Lordship the Right honrble the Lord proprietary in the Sum of ten pounds ster
Each of their Severall Goods and Chattells Lands and tenements to be made and Levied to the use of
his Said Lordship his heirs and Successors   if it happen that the said Dorman Heath do not
make his personall appearance before the Justices of his said Lordships County Court of Somerset to
be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of August next and do not answer unto Such matters
as shall be then & there Objected against him on his Said Lordships behalfe tending to the breach
of the peace and ^if^ that he doe depart without Leave of the Court then the above Recognizance to
Remain in full force and vertue otherwise &c

Avery Morgan
 Avery Morgan appears according to his Recognizance and is discharged and ordered to
Give new Recognizance for his appearance at August Court next to answer unto a presentmt
for fornication &c     Whereupon the Said Avery Morgan with James Martin of
                                                                                                                                                       Somerset
