188 read write and Cypher as far as the rule of three (Inclusive) and at the Expiration of his servitude Give him a set of Cordwainers tooles and a new Suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and to Leave a good dwelling house of twenty five feet in Length and fifteen feet in breadth on the Lands of the said Reynolds who is said to have a right in reversion and Likewise find and provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient suff for such an apprentice to have and wear during his Servitude aforesaid &c Whereupon it is ordered by the Court here that the aforesaid John Bishop Give Security for to Comply with the Covenants aforesaid &c Thereupon the Said John Bishop with Edward Rownd of Somerset County Gent his Security both present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the Said William Reynolds in the full Sum of fifty pounds Ster Joyntly and Severally of their bodys goods and Chattells Lands or tenements for ye use of the Said William Reynolds his heirs and assigns If it happen that the Said John Bishop do not Learn his Said apprentice during his Servitude the trade of a Cordwainer and to Read write and Cypher as far as the rule of three (Inclusive) and at the Expiration of his servitude do not Give him a set of Cordwainers tooles & a new Suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and do not Leave on the Lands of his said apprentice who is said to have a right in reversion a good dwelling house twenty five feet in Length and fifteen feet in breadth and do not find and provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing sufficient for such an apprentice to have & wear during his Servitude afd then the above recognizance to be in full force & vertue &c otherwise &c
every where willingly Shall do and in all things as a good and faithfull Servant shall demeane himselfe towards his said Master and al his during the term aforesaid &c In consideration of which Service the Said Joseph Riggin present herein Court in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially sitting on behalfe of the said John Dear that during the term aforesaid he will Learn his said apprentice the trade of a house Carpenter and to Read write and Cypher as far as the rule of three (Inclusive) and at the Expiration of his Servitude Give him as many tooles as may be Sufficient to build a house ^with^ and ^Give him^ a new Suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and Likewise find and provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an apprentice to have and wear during the term aforesaid &c Whereupon it is ordered by the Court here that the aforesaid Joseph Riggin Give Security for to Comply with the Covenants aforesaid &c Thereupon Joseph Riggin with Richard Knight his Security both |
