17 Robert Blades of Somerset County planter aged fifty six years or thereabouts being by us sworn upon the holy Evangelist of almighty God deposeth and Saith that he hath heard that one of the Mark.t trees of the Land Called Poiney Point or Wagghopps Land stood near an old Landing on the south side of Pocomoke river Called the deep Landing & further saith not his Rob.t R Blades marke Samuel Dorman of Somerset County planter aged forty two years or there abouts being by us sworn upon the holy Evangelist of Almighty God deposeth and Saith that to heard Robert Blades Say that the bounder of Wagghopps Land he had heard say stood here pointing to a perticular Spott of Ground on the Edge of the bank of the aforesaid River about Seven or Eight Yards above ^the^ aforesaid deep Landing and about two or three Yards from a mark.t Red Oak a second bounder of a tract of Land belonging to Robert Blades and further saith not his Sam.l |—|— Dorman marke John Pitts of Somerset County wheelwright aged fifty one years or thereabouts being by us Sworn upon the holy Evangelist of Almighty God deposeth and saith that about thirty years agoe he was on the Land Called Poniny Point or Wagghopps Land in Company with Some Others and that they Showed him a pine tree and told him that it was Wagghopps tree and that the aforesaid tree stood on the brink of the aforesaid River a little below where the house then stood and further Saith not John Pitts The above depositions was taken before us the Subscribers being first duely Qualified according to Law the day and year above written Jn.o Scott Wm Lane Wm Handy Sarah Brown of Somerset County aged Eighty Eight Years of there abouts being by us sworn upon the holy evangelist of almighty God deposeth ^and saith^ that about twelve years agoe she was at the house of Samuell Dorman and Coll Whittington goeing up the river by Water Called to her and asked who lived there she answered him her Son Samuel Dorman and that the said Whittington told her son not to Clear any lower down the river for he was upon the edge of Wagghopps land and further saith not her Sarah Brown Jno Scott marke Willm Lane William Handy
three or two of you to be Our Commissioners to Examine Evidences on behalfe of a Certain Philip Adams of the County aforesaid in relation to the bounds of a percell of Land Lying in the County aforesaid Called Mitchells adventure We therefore Require you or any three or two of you at some time and place as to you or any three or two of you shall seem Convenient you mete on the aforesaid Land Called Mitchells Adventure (you first haveing taken your Oath ^upon the holy Evangelist of allmighty God^ according to act of assembly in Such Case made and Provided) and there Cause to Come before you or any three or two of you all Such Evidences as shall be to you or any three or two of you Nominated by the said Complainant (or defend.t if any) and that you Examine them upon their Corporall Oaths to be by you or any three or two of you administred on the holy Evangelist of almighty God in ye presence of the said Complainant (or defend.t if any) touching the truth or remembrances of their Knowledge or |
