158 fees due by occasion of the premisses afd thereupon a Certain John Harper of Somerset County planter present here in Court undertook for the Said Roger Huggins to pay the fine aforesd and the Severall officers their fees due as aforesd &c Abraham Heath appears according to his Recognizance to prosecute and Give Evidence against Henry Tommelinson and was discharged therefrom &c
&c to answer &c and afterwards to witt the twenty first day of march One thousand Seven hundred and thirty one Came here into Court at dividing Creek before the Justices thereof the said Rachel Broughton in her proper person and being Instantly demanded how she would acquitt herselfe of the premises aforesaid as by the presentment aforesaid above upon her is Imposed the Same Rachel Saith that she Cannot Gainsay but that she is Guilty of the premisses aforesaid by the presentment aforesaid above upon her Imposed and makes Oath that a Certain Thomas Linsey is the father of the Child she stands presented for and is willing to pay her fine for the fact aforesaid whereupon all and Singular the premisses by the Court here seen heard and fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the Said Rachell Broughton pay to his Said Lordship for her fine by the Court thereupon her Imposed for and by occasion of the Premisses aforesd whereof in forme aforesd she is Convict thirty Shillings and that the Said Rachell Broughton be taken to Satisfie his said Lordship of the fine afd Whereupon it is ordered by the Court here that the aforesd Rachel Brought give Security for the payment of the fine aforesd and the Severall Officers fees due by occasion of the Premisses afd thereupon Bruff Broughton of Somerset County Gent undertakes for the Said Rachel Broughton to pay the fine afd and the severall officers fees due as aforesd &c
thousand seven hundred and thirty one at the County aforesd within the Jur of this Court did Committ fornication with a Certain Susanah Carter against the peace of the Right Honrble the Lord proprietary his good rule and Goverment and also against the former of the act of assembly in such Case made and provided whereof the said Levin Gale for the said Lord proprietary prays Advisement of the Court here in the premisses &c L Gale P Dom Prtry Thereupon Command was given to the Sher of Somerset County that he should take the said John Whaley if &c to answere &c and afterwards to witt the twenty first day of march |
