157 Recognizance by the Henry and his Security before acknowledged Whereupon the Said Henry and his Security are discharged from the Same recognizance and thereupon the said Henry is ordered by the Court here to give
and be informed that Jeremiah Cary Late of Somerset County planter within the Jurisdiction of this court with force and armes &c in and upon a Certain James Townsend in the peace of God and of the Said Lord proprietary then being an assault did make and him did beat wound and evill Intreat so that of his Life it was despaired and Other harms then and there did do to the Great damage and against the peace &c whereof the Said Levin for the Said Lord propry prays advisement of the Court here in the premisses &c L Gale P Dom Prory Thereupon Command was Given to the Sher of Somerset County that he Should take the said Jeremiah Cary if &c to answer &c And afterwards in the Somerset County Court here to witt this twenty first day of march one thousand Seven hundred and thirty One before the Justices of the Same Court Came there Said Jeremiah Carry in his proper person and being Immediately asked how he would acquitt himselfe of the premisses afd above by the Information afd upon him Imposed says that of the premisses aforesaid above upon him Imposed he is Guilty thereof &c whereupon all and Singular the premisses by the Court here being seen heard and fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the Said Jeremiah Cary pay unto his said Lordship for his fine by the Court hereupon him Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses aforesaid whereof in form aforesaid he is Convict ten pounds of tobacco and that the Said Jeremiah Cary be taken to Satisfie his Said Lordship of the fine afd whereupon the Said Jeremiah Cary ^is ordered to^ Give Security for the payment of the fine afd and all ye Officers fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd thereupon a Certain William Booth of Somerset County planter present herein Court undertook for the Said Jeremiah Cary to pay the fine afd and the Severall Officers their fees due as aforesaid &c
County within the Jur of this court with force and arms &c in and Upon a Certain Roger Huggins in the Peace of God and the Lord proprietary then being an assault did make and and him did beat wound and Evill intreat so that of his Life it was dispaired and other harmes to him then and there did doe to his great Damage and against the peace of &c whereof the said Levin for the Said Lord proprietary prays advisement of the Court here in the premisses L Gale p L.d Prop.r Thereupon Command was Given to the Sher of Somerset County that he should |
