Esther Mullegan Informer Afterwards in the Same Court C to witt the twenty first day of march Ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty One before his Lordships Justices of the County Court of Somerset now held at dividing Creek Cometh the afd George in his proper person according to a Certain Recognizance by him & his Security before that time acknowledged and the Same George being Immediately asked how he would acquitt himselfe of the premisses above upon him Imposed says that of the premisses abovesaid upon him Imposed he is Guilty thereof and is willing to pay his fine for the fact aforesaid whereupon all and Singular the premisses by the Court here being seen heard and fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the Said George Layfeild pay unto his Said Lordship for his fine by the Court here upon him Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses aforesaid whereof in form afd he is Convict thirty Shillings Currant money (to the Use of the County afd) and that the Said George be taken to Satisfie his Said Lordship of the fine afd whereupon it is Ordered by the Court here that the afd Geo Layfeild Give Security for the payment of the fine afd and the Several Officers fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd thereupon Thomas Layfield of Somerset County Gent pay undertakes for the Said George Layfield to pay the fine afd & the Severall Officers fees due as afd &c
day of November anno Dom one thousand Seven hundred and thirty one at the County aforesaid within the Jur of this Court did Committ fornication [illegible] [illegible] of her body a bastard Child against ye peace of the right Honrble the Lord propry his good rule and government and Also against the forme of the act of assembly in Such Case made and provided Whereof the Said Levin Gale for the Said Lord proprietary prays Advisement of the Court of the Court herein the Premisses &c L Gale P Dom propry Afterwards in the Same Court to witt the twenty first day of march anno Dom one thousand Seven hundred and thirty one before his Lordships Justices of the County Court of Somerset now held at Dividing Creek Cometh the aforesd Esther in his proper person According to a Certain Recognizance by her and her security before that time acknowledged and the Same Esther being Immediately asked how she would acquitt herself of the premisses above upon her Imposed says that of the Premisses abovesaid upon her Imposed she is giulty thereof and makes oath that a Certain Joseph [illegible] |
