150 of Somerset at Dividing Creek Returned that by Vertue of the Preceipt aforesd to him thereof directed he had taken the body of the aforesd Susannah Carter whose body he had there ready &c Whereupon the said Susannah Carter in her proper person apears and is thereupon Immediately asked after what manner she would Acquitt herself of the Premisses in the presentment aforesd above upon her Imposed the same Susannah says that she Cannot deny but that she is Gilty of the premisses aforesd in the Presentment aforesd Specified above upon her Imposed &c and is willing to pay her fine for the fact aforesaid &c Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the aforesaid Susannah Carter pay to his said Lordships for her fine by the Court here upon her Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses aforesaid whereof in form aforesaid she is Convict six hundred pounds of tobacco (to the Use of the County) and that the Same Susannah Carter be taken to satisfie his said Lordship of the fine aforesaid whereupon the Said Susannah Carter is ordered to Give Security for the payment of the fine afd and the Severall Officers their fees due by occasion of the premisses Whereupon a Certain Samuel Carter of Somerset County planter present here in Court undertakes for the said Els Susannah Carter for to pay the fine afd & the Severall Officers fees due by Occasion of the premisses aforesaid &c
take the said Eliz.a Davis Late of Somerset Parish in somerset County Spinster if she should be found in his bailywick and her should Safe keep so he might have her body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at Dividing Creek third tuesday of March Next to answere his said Lordship of the Presentment aforesd and that thereof he should not fail &c Att which said third tuesday of march to witt the twenty first day of the Same month one thousand Seven hundred and thirty one the Sher of the County aforesd then being at the same day before his Lordships Justices at the County Court of Somerset at Dividing Creek Returned that by Vertue of the Receipt aforesaid to him thereof directed he had taken the body of the aforesd Eliz Davis whose body he had there ready &c Whereupon the said Eliz.a Davis in her proper person appears and is thereupon Immediately asked after what manner she would acquitt herself of the Premisses in the presentment aforesaid above upon her Imposed the same Eliz.a says that she Cannot deny but that she is Gilty of the Premisses aforesd in the Presentment aforesd Specified above upon her Imposed &c and is willing to pay her fine for the fact aforesd &c wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the aforesaid Eliz.a Davis pay to his said Lordship for her fine |
