148 Likewise the aforesaid Walter Birminger^ham^ with William Boston of Somerset County planter his Security both present here in Court acknowledged themselves ^to be^ Indebted unto his Said Lordship the Right honrble the Lord proprietary in forty pounds Sterling each of their Goods and Chattells Lands and tenements seperately to be made & Levied to the use of the Said Lordship his heirs & successors &c In case the Said Walter Birmingham do not make his personall appearance before the Justices of the next provinciall Court Came to be held at the City of annapolis the third tuesday of Aprill next and do not then and there Give Such evidence as he Shall know against the said Francis Caughlin and Mary Folio of and Concerning Such matters as they stand Charged with and do not depart the Same Court without Lycence thereof &c Likewise the aforesaid Walter Birminger^ham^ and William Boston both of Somerset County planters present herein Court undertakes for the aforesaid Elizabeth Birminger and acknowledged themselves to be Indebted unto his Lordship the Right honrble the Lord proprietary In forty pounds sterling each of their Goods and Chattells Lands and tenements seperately to be made and Levied to the Use of his Said Lordship his heirs and Successors &c In case the Said Elizabeth Birminger^ham^ do not make her personall appearance before the Justices of the next provinciall Court to be held at the City of annapolis the third tuesday of Aprill next and do not then and there Give Such evidence as she shall know against the said Francis Caughlin and Mary Folio of and Concerning such matters as they stand Charged with and do not depart the Same Court without Lycence thereof &c Likewise the aforesaid William Boston of Somerset County planter present here in Court undertakes for the said Jane King and acknowledged himselfe to be Indebted unto his Said Lordship the Right honrble the Lord Proprietary in forty pounds Sterling of his Goods and Chattells Lands and tenements further to be made and Levied to the Use of his Said Lordship his heirs and Successors &c In case the said Jane King do not make her personall appearance before the Justices of the next provinciall Court to be held at the City of annapolis the third tuesday of Aprill next and do not then and there Give Such Evidence as she shall know against the Said Francis Caughlin and Mary Folio of and Concerning such matters as they stand Charged with and do not depart the Same Court without Lycence thereof &c Ordered by the Court that a road be kept down Manny from Madm Gales to Mr Thomas Dashiells and from thence to Mr George Down's and so ^to^ the Road at the head of Little manny to be Cleared by Philip Covington Overseer of the Roads &c Abell Samuels a poor antient man & not able to Labour was discharged by the Court from paying of Levies for the future &c
Your worships will Give orders for the Said Negro to be tax free and Your petitioner as in duty bound shall ever pray The petition afd being read & heard wherefore it is Considered that the afd Mary Cottman be discharged from paying of Taxes for ye afd Negro as by the pet.n afd is praid &c |
