    Complains that Whereas a Certain John Sandford useing Trade and
    Commerce as a Merch.t according to the Custom of Great Brittain and
Maryland the Nineteenth day of June Ann Dom one thousand
Seven hundred and thirty In virginia Vizt at Somerset County afd
Whithin the Jurisdiction of this Court made and Drew his Certain
Second Bill of Exchange with his proper hand and name Subscribed
and Directed to a Certain Thomas Sanford merch.t in London there
Likewise useing trade and Commerce as a Merch.t and by the said
Bill did request the Said Thomas Sanford at twenty days Sight of the
Said bill his first nor third of the Same tenour and date being paid
to pay unto the aforesaid John Justice or order the Sum of Six pounds
teen Shillings Sterling for Value of him Rec.d which said Second
Bill of Exchainge afterwards vizt the Same day and year aforesd
at the County aforesaid within the ^afd^ Jurisdiction the Said John
Justice useing trade and Commerce as a merch.t by Endorsement
according to the Custom of Merch.ts made on the Said Bill with his
proper hand and name Subscribed on the said Bill did Request the
aforesaid Thomas Jenings or order for Value of him Rece.d of which said
Endorsement the Said Thomas Sanford afterwards to witt upon the
twentieth day of January one thousand Seven hundred and thirty
at London aforesd Viz.t at Somerset County aforesd within the aforesd
Jurisdiction had notice and then and there was Requested to pay the
said Bill of Exchange unto the order of the said Edmond Jenings but he
the said Thomas after twenty days Sight thereof and Notice as aforesaid
Refused to pay the Same the first and third bill of Exchange of the same
tenor and date then and Still Remaining unpaid where fore the said
bill of Exchange by the order of the said Edmond Jenings was Protested
or Caused to be protested upon the fifteenth day of feburry one thousand
Seven hundred and thirty at London Viz.t at Somerset County aforesd
by means Whereof the Said John Justice according to the Custom of
Merch.ts aforesaid became Lyable to answer and Satisfy the Said
Bill of Exchange to the Said Edmond Jenings of all which the
said John Justice afterwards to witt the Same day year and Place
Last mentioned had notice and then and there in Consideration
thereof did upon himself assume and to the said Edmond Jenings
faithfully promiss that he when afterwards he should be thereto
                                                                                     Requested
