    Somerset County ss.t   By vertue of a Commission from the Worshipfull the Justices of Somerset County Court to us
directed we Certifie that at the days and times in the within depositions mentioned having first qualified Our Selves and
Given due notice according to act of assembly we took the depositions and Examinations as well on the behalfe of Isaac
Costen as of John Harris in their presence Concerning the Line of Marked trees in the Said Commission mentioned
as by the Said Commission we are Commanded in wittness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seales this 20th

Somerset ss    Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the provinces of Maryland and
avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &.c  To William Stoughton, Thomas Dashiell, Robert Jones
and John Elzey ^all^ of Somerset County Gentlemen Greeting  Know Ye that we have appointed
you or any three or two of you to be Our Commissioners to Examine Evidences on behalfe of a Certain Lewis Jones
of the County aforesaid in Relation to the bounds of a tract of Land Lying in the County aforesaid Called Elliots Choice
we therefore require you or any three or two of you at some time and place as to you or any three or two of you shall
Seem Convenient you meet on the afd Land Called Elliots Choice [You first having taken Your Oaths on the holy
Evangelist of almighty ^God^ according to act of assembly in Such Case made and provided] and there Cause to Come before
You or any three or two of you all Such Evidences as Shall be to you or any three or two of you Nominated by the
said Complainant or Defen.t if any and that you or any three or two of you Examine
them upon their Corperall oaths to be by you or any three or two of you administred
on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God in the Presents of the Complainant
(or Def.t if any) touching the truth or remembrances of their knowledge or
any thing that may Relate to the Cause aforesaid and that Reducing
the Several Depositions into writing you Send the Same together with
this our Commission under your or any three or two of your hands to us to our
County Court of Somerset with all Convenient Speed Wittness William
Planner Gent One of our Justices of our said Court the twenty fourth Day
of November In the Sixteenth Year of our Dominion &.c  Ann Dom
one thousand seven hundred and thirty

    And afterwards the Same Commission was Returned to the Court with
the following Endorsment and Likewise to the Same Commission it
was Annexed

Aprill 29.th 1731  Then Thomas Dashiell Robert Jones and John Elzey
Came before me the Subscriber one of the Lord Proprietary's Justices
of the peace for the County of Somerset and took their oaths on the
Holy Evangelist of Almighty God to Execute the within Commission
Justly truely and impartially according to the Best of their ^skill and^ knowledge
