the said roads Should be Cleared and kept as the County Road and if they do
not approve of the said Roads already Cleared that then they the said Robert
King, Thomas Williams and Thomas Dixon or any two of them to Lay out
and Direct a road or roads down the said Neck of the most Conveniency and
and the Least of Prejudice to any the Livers in the said Neck and they to make
their report at Next Court &.c

    To the foregoing order it was Annexed as follows viz.a

Wee the subscribers have viewed the Roads Directed by the order hereunto
annext and are of opinion that When David Willson has Cutt a Ditch of three
Foot wide and two foot Deep from Jefery Longs branch into the New road ditch
and Shall Cause the said Causway ditch from Pocomoke Road to Draw Clearly all
the way to the Beach and pine Ridge John Turpin to Cutt two hundred Yards
of the Like Ditch to which he agreed in part thereof   That then the new road
proposed will be much Preferable to ^the^ Old ones so far as the said Ridge
and from thence we propose a new Road ^different from any now in being till it Intersects the Old Road^ between John Watters plantation and
the head of Halls Creek on the South side aforesd neck   Provided John and William
Watters Comply with their Promise as Follows John Watters to Cutt a ditch of the
above dementions from Annamesses River through the Lowest part of
his Land into the Intended new ^main^ road proposed or Cause a Drain to be made
Equall to Such a Ditch and that W.m Watters do the same through the
Lowest part of his Land and that Each of them Cut or Cause to be Cutt
two hundred Yards of the Like ditch along the Intended New road and
Further that a new road from the place afd on said Ridge Diferent from
any now in being be made and Direct as posible to the Nearest part of
Cap.t W.m Turpins ditch who Undertakes to Draw the water from thence
into back Creek and from the Lower End of said ditch of ^to^ the Goeing over
of the old Road at the head of Maddoxs Creek and from thence the former
old Road to Continue down the Neck Which we Conceive will be much more
Agreable to the Inhabitants of said Neck then the old roads now in being
or to much the Greater Number of them all which we submitt to your
Worships Judgment                                                       Robert King
