His Lordship

John Stewart
 Somerset ss    Be it remembred that upon the Seventeenth day of august one thousand seven hundred & thirty
one  Came Into Somrset County ^Court^ Levin Gale who for the Lord proprietary
Gives the Court to Understand and be Informed and within the
Stewart of Somrset County Merch.t at the County aforesaid and within the
Jurisdiction of this Court with force and armes &.c  In and upon a Certain
John Stewart in the peace of God and the Lord proprietary then and there
being an assault did make and him did beat Wound and Evill Entreat
so that of his Life it was Dispaired and other harmes to him then and
there did doe to his Great Damage and against the peace of the right
Honrble the Lord proprietary his good rule and Government Whereof the
Same Levin for the said Lord proprietary prays Advisement of the
Court in &.c                                             L Gale P Dom prory

                         Thereupon Command is Given to the Sher of Somerset County that he Should take the Said
John Stewart if &.c to answer &.c and afterwards in the Same Court Came the Said John Stewart in his proper person
and being Instantly demanded how he would acquitt himselfe of the premises afd above upon him Imposed says that
of the premisses afd so as afd upon him Imposed he is Gilty thereof whereupon all and singular the premisses
by the Court here being seen heard and fully understood   wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the afd
John Stewart pay unto his Said Lordship the Lord proprietary fifty pounds of tobacco for his fine by occasion of
the premisses aforesaid above upon him Imposed and that the Said John Stewart be taken to Satsifie his Said
Lordship of the fine afd &.c


The Same

Noble Tull
 Somerset ss          Be it Remembred that upon the Seventeenth day of august one thousand seven
hundred and thirty One Came into Somerset County Court Levin Gale who for his Said Lordship the
Lord proprietary Gives the Court to understand and be Informed that Noble Tull of Somerset County
planter at the County aforesaid and within the Jurisdiction of this Court with force and armes &.c in and upon
a Certain W.m Bevins in the peace of God and the Lord proprietary then and there being an assault did make
and him did beat wound and Evill entreat so that of his Life it was dispaired and Other harmes to him
then and there did do to his Great damage and against the peace of the Right honrble the Lord proprietarie
his Good rule and Government whereof the Same Levin for the Said Lord proprietary prays
advisement of the Court herein &c              L Gale P Dom propry

answer &.c and afterwards in the Same Court Came the Noble Tull in his proper person and being thereupon Instantly
