thousand seven hundred and twenty seven that the afd Hocken Hull short take nothing by his
writt and declaration afd and th but be in mercy for his falce Clamour and that the afd Thomas
Purnall go thereof without day and also it is Considered by the said Court that the afd Thomas
Purnall Recover against the afd Hocken hull Short One thousand & five pounds
1005         pounds of tobacco for his Costs and Charges by him about his defence in that part
Expended to the same Thomas by the Court here according to the form of the statute thereof
Lately made and provided adjudged and that the same Thomas have thereof Execution
&c

 Somersett fs    Thomas Anderson late of Somersett County planter was
attached to answer unto Joseph MaClester of a plea of trespass upon
the Case &.c    And whereupon the said Joseph by Levin Gale his attorney
       Complains that whereas the said Thomas the first day of Novem.r anno Dom one thousand
       Seven hundred & twenty Six at Somrsett Co.ty within the Jur of this Court
       was Indebted unto the said Jos: in five pounds fifteen Shills and one peny
       Curr.t money of Maryland as by acc.t hereunto annexed May in Court
       appear & being so thereof Indebted ye said Tho.s in Consideration thereof
       the day & year afd at ye place afd upon himselfe Did assume & to ye said
       Jos then & there did faithfully Promisse yt he ye afd Tho.s ye Said five
       pounds fifteen Shills & one peny Curr.t mony of Maryland to ye s.d Jos:
       when he Should be thereunto requested he wou'd well & faithfully
       pay & Content Nevertheless ye said Tho.s tho' often requested ye s.d five
       pd.s fifteen Shills & one penny Curr.t Money of Maryland to ye Said Joseph
       hath not paid but ye same to him hitherto to pay hath refused & Still doth
       refuse & Deny to ye Dam.s of ye said Joseph of Eleven pd.s ten Shills & two
       pence Curr.t money of Maryland & thereof he brings Suite &a
