90 the afd Walter Darby give Security to Comply with the Covenants afd Whereupon the afd Walter Darby with Richard Rider his security both present herein Court in ^their^ one proper persons acknowledged themselves to owe and stand Justly Indebted unto the afd John Mercy in the Sum of twenty pounds Sterr of their bodys goods and Chattells Lands and tenements for the Use of the said John Mercy his heirs and assigns to be made and Levied if default be made in the Condition hereunto written The Condition of the above Recognizance is Such that if the above Bound Walter Darby do and Shall faithfully and truely during the Servitude of the afd John Mercy Learn him the trade of a hous Carpenter and to read well in the Bible and to write and at the Expiration of his servitude given him a new Suit of Cloaths and a Sett of Carpenters tooles and Likewise find and provide for his Said Servant during his Servitude the Sufficient meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for Such a Servant to have and wear, then the above Recognizance to be void and of None Effect Other wise &c
Given dec.d the Sum of two hundred and Ninty pounds two shillings and five pence Curr.t mony &c The said Joseph Venables being Present here in Court is ordered to give security unto the afd orphans for the paym.t of the afd Two hundred and Ninty pounds two shillings and five pence according to Law and the will of the afd James Given dec.d Whereupon the afd Joseph Venables with Thomas Humphrys his security both present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the afd Marg.t, Sarah, James, John, Martha, William, George and Jane Givans orphans as afd in the Sum of five hundred and Eighty pounds four Shillings and ten Pence Curr.t mony to be Levied upon their Bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements Joyntly and Seperately to be made and Levied for the Use of the afd Marg.tt Sarah, James, John Martha, William, George, and Jane Givans their heirs or assigns if default be made in the Condition hereunder written The Condition of the above Recognizance is Such that if the above Bound Joseph Venables his heirs Executors or administrators or any or Either of them do well and truely pay or Cause to be paid unto the afd Marg.tt Sarah, James, John, Martha, William George and Jane Givans orphans as abovesaid their heirs or assigns the full and Just Sum of Two hundred and Ninty pounds two Shillings and five pence when they shall arrive at full age to receive the Same according to Law and the will of the afd James Givan dec.d then the above recognizance to be void and of None Effect otherwise to Stand and remain in full force and Vertue in Law &c |
