    The Condition of the above Recognizance is Such that if the above bound Saml Tarr do well and
faithfully Learn the Said John Cornwell during his servitude the trade of a Shoemaker and to read
well in the bible and at the Expiration of his servitude give him a new Suite of Cloaths and Likewise
and provide for the said John Cornwell meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for Such a Servant
to have and wear ^during his servitude^ then the above Recognizance to be void otherwise to Stand and remain in full
force and vertue &.a

To the worshipfull the Justices of Somersett County now in Court Sitting the humble
Petition of Anthony West humbly Sheweth
                                                                    That your Petitioner haveing by his
dec.d Mother Catherine West a percell ^of^ Land left him by will lying on the north side of Back Creek
being part of a percell of Land Known by the Name of Catherines COntent being the uppermost part
begining at the duck Landing Containing One hundred and fifty acres and the Bounders being not Certain

       I humbly begg your Worships would be pleased to appoint some Commissioners to ascertaine
the Bounds of the said One hundred and fifty acres of Land and your Petitioner as bound shall ^ever^
pray                                                                                    Anthony West

                      The petition afd being read and heard and all and Singular the premises Considered
    Wherefore it is Ordered by the Court that a Commission Issue to the afd Anthony West as by the
Petition afd is praid and that Thomas Williams, Jeffry Long, William Turpin and Boaz Walston
of Somersett County Gent.m be Commissioners and Execute the same Commission according to law
&c

To the worshipfull Justices of Somersett County in Court Judicially Sitting
the petition of Thomas Collier of Somersett County most humbly Sheweth

             That your Petitioner is Possessed of a tract of Land Lying on the South Side of wickacomoco
River in the County afd Called and Known by the name of Horseys Bailywick the boundarys thereof
are much decayed and Like to be Lost and the wittnesses to prove them ancient and Infirm

                               Your Petitioner therefore humbly prays your worships to Issue Commission to
Such persons as your worships shall think proper to Examine Wittnesses to perpetuate the boundarys
of the Said Land according to the form of the act of assembly in that Case made and provided
and your Petitioner as in duty bound will Ever pray               Thomas Collier

             The Petition afd being read and heard and mature deliberation thereupon had &.c
Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices that a Commission Issue to the afd Thomas Collier as by the
Petition afd is praid and that Edward North Thomas Gillis, George Scott and Joseph Wailes ^of Somersett County Gentlemen^ be
Commissioners and Execute the Same Commission according to Law &a
