Being Indebted as afd for and in Consideration afd at the time and place afd within the afd
Jurisdiction did upon himselfe assume and to the same John then and there did faithfully
promise that the afd Seven pounds twelve Shillings and three pence halfe peny he would
well and truly pay and Content and altho one pound fifteen Shillings percell of the same debt
the same William hath paid yet as to the residue being five pounds Seventeen Shillings & three
pence halfe peny according to his promise and assumption afd in form afd made unto the
same John he hath not paid but the same to pay hath refused and Still doth refuse to the
Damage of the said John of Eleven pounds fifteen ^fourteen^ Shillings and Seven pence and thereof

           Personally Came before me the subscriber one of his Majesties Justices of the
       peace for the County of Kent on Delaware Mark Grier Serv.t to the above Named Jn.o Housman
       and on his Solemn affermation allowed of by Law Declared that the above Acc.o whose Ballance
       Due to ye said Mr Housman is five pounds seventeen shillings & three pence halfe peny is a Just &
       true account (Errows in Casting up only (if any be) Excepted)   In Testimony whereof I have
       hereunto set my hand and Caused to be affixed the seal of the afd County of Kent at dover
       Town this Eighth day of aprill Anno Dom 1727                     Benjamin Shurmer

       Att which said third tuesday of March to witt the Ninteenth day of the Same month Anno Dom One
       thousand seven hundred and twenty Seven being the day of the return of the said will writt
       Cometh the said Jno Housman by his attorney afd and the Sherr of somersett County to whom the
