County Court of Somrsett to be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of March then
Next to answer unto John Housman of ^Kent^ Caro County upon Dillawar of a plea of trespass
upon the Case &.a & that thereof he Should not fail &a

       And the afd Jn.o Housman by Geo: Dashiell his attry Declared against the afd Jn.o
Liptrott in the plea afd as Followeth viz.t

          Somrsett Co.ty fs:
                                        John Liptrott Late of Somrsett Co.ty in the province of maryland
          Millwright was attached to answer unto Jn.o Housman of ^Kent^ Car Co.ty upon
          Delawar of a plea of trespass upon the Case &c

And whereupon the same Jn.o Housman P.r Geo Dashiell his attry Complaines that
whereas ye Same Jno Liptrott on the Eleventh day of October Ann.o Dom one thousand
Seven hundred & twenty five at Car Kent Co.ty upon Delarwar viz.t at all hallows parrish
in Somrsett Co.ty afd within the Jur of this Court was Indebted unto the Same John
Housman in the sum of Eleven pd.s Nine Shills & Nine pence for sundry goods and
Merchandises before that time at ye Especiall Instance & request of the same Jn.o
Liptrott sold & Delivered as p.r acc.t hereunto annext may in Court appear and
being soe thereof Indebted as afd at the time & place afd in Consideration afd
within the afd Jurisdiction did upon himselfe assume & to the same John
Housman then & there did faithfully Promise that the afd Eleven pounds Nine
Shill.s & Nine pence he would well & truly Content & pay & altho five pd.s Nine
Shill.s & Nine pence percell of the same Debt ye afd John Liptrott to the afd
John Housman he hath paid yett as to the residue being six pd.s he hath not paid
Nor his promise and assumption in form afd made he hath not regarded but ye same
John to pay hath Denied & Still doth denie to the Dam of ye Same Jn.o Housman of
twelve pd.s Curr.t mony of Maryland & thereof he Brings suite

                                     Personally Came before me ye subscriber one of his Maj.rs Justices
                      of ye peace for the Co.ty of Kent on Delaware Mark Grier Serv.t to ye afd John
                      Housman & on his Solemn affirmation alowed of by Law declared yt the above acc.t
                      whose Ball is six pd.s due to ye said Mister Housman is a Just & true acct (Errors in
                      Casting up only if any be Excepted) in testimony whereof I have hereunto Sett my
                      hand & Caused to be fixed ye Seal of ye afd Co.ty at Dover town this Eight day of
