1727 66 Bastard Child she stands Presented for and is willing to pay he fine for the fact afd Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices that the afd Ann Crowch be fined to his Lordship thirty Shillings for the fact afd which toward the defraying of the County Charge Thereupon the said Ann Crowch is ordered to give Security for the fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd thereupon a Certain Wm Hayman present here in Court undertakes for the said Ann Crowch to pay the Severall Officers their fees due by means of the premisses afd &c
he should take the said Eliza Standly if &.c to answer &.c afterward Came the said Eliz.a Standly here into Court in Custody of the said Sherr and being sett to the Barr &.c but forasmuch as it doth not appear to the Court here that there is Sufficient matter of Substance in the presentm.t afd to Convict the same Eliz.a Standly of the fact in the same mentioned &.c Therefore it is Considered by the Court here that the afd Eliza Standly be acquitted from the present ment afd and that his Lordship take nothing thereby &c Whereupon it is Ordered by the Court that the said Eliz.a Standly Give Security for all the Officers fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd Thereupon a Certain James Bozman of of Somersett County Merch.t present herein Court undertakes for to pay the Severall Officers their fees due by means of the premisses afd &c It is Likewise Ordered by the Court that the said James Breman give good security for to Save and Keep harmless somersett County from all burthens troubles Charges and Incumbrances that might hereafter happen by means of his Transporting the said Eliz a Standly into this County from the Coloney of Vergenia and discharging her from his service She being than Bigg with Child and Since delivered &c Whereupon the said James Breman with Francis Allen his Security both present here in Court acknowledged them selves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship his heirs and Successors in the sum of fifty pounds Sterling Joyntly and Seperatly to be Levied on their goods or Chattells Lands or tenements for the Use of Somersett County afd if default be made in the condition hereunder written The Condition of the above recognizance is Such that if the above Bounden James Breman do hereafter from time to time and at all times save harmless and keep Endempnified ^Somersett County^ from all Burthens troubles Costs Charges and Incumbrances what soever that might acrew by Means of ye said Eliz.a Standley's being by him Imported into this County from Vergenia and here being delivered of a bastard Child &c then the above recogn to be void &a |
