Part of a tract of Land Called Lotts, the bounds whereof are gone to decay and the Evidences are Ancient wherefore your Petitioners most humbly pray that their may be Commissioners appointed to take Evidences to Perpetuate the bounds thereof according to an act of assembly of this province in that Case made and provided and your Petitioners as in duty bound will Ever pray The petition afd being read and heard and Mature deliberation thereupon had Wherefore it is Considered by the Court that a Commission Issue to the afd Merrick Ellis and Alice his wife as by their petition afd is praid, And that Levin Gale, John Jones, George Dashiell, and Phillip Covington all of Somersett County Gent.m be Commissioners and Execute the Same Commission according Law &c Upon the Petition of Nathaniel Hopkins Sen.r and others to be discharged from the repairing and keeping the Causway at snow hill in repair &.c Granted so far that for the future all the Male Tax^a^ble Labourers in the Indian ^Town^ and the Male Taxable Labourers in Snow hill Town is ordered to Keep the said Causway in good repair and that the Male Taxable Labourers in Snow hill Town for the future be discharged from Clearing any Other road &c
to Serve his said Master the full term of time afd in all Such Lawfull service as his said Master shall Imploy him in or about In consideration of which service the said John Gibbins doth promise and Oblige himselfe by these presents to pay the Levies of his Said Servant dureing the term afd and Likewise find and provide for his said Servant Sufficient meat drink washing Loging and Cloathing mete for such a servant to have and wear during his Servitude afd &c Jeffry a negro boy belonging to George Bell is Adjudged by the Court to be of the age of five Years Edward Rownd appointed Overseer of Boquetennorton hundred for the Ensueing Year in the stead of Price Collins to Clear from Dukes bury branch to the widdow Trewitts Branch and from thence to the great Bridge over the head of Pocomoke River &c Upon the mocon of Robert Truman to be tax free Granted or praid and ordered that for the future he be allowed One pounds of tobacco P year &c |
