Security for the ballance aforesaid according to Law &c

                   Thereupon the said John Hitch with Adam Hitch his Security both present
here in court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves to owe and Stand Justly
Indebted unto Mary, Richard, Phillis, and Elizabeth Nicholson orphans of Richard Nicholson
decd in the sum of Eighty Eight Pounds three shillings and Eight Pence Curr.t mony to
be Levied of their bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements Joyntly and Seperately
for the use of the said Mary, Richard Phillis and Elizabeth Nicholson their heirs or
assignes if default be made in the Condition hereunder written &c

                   The Condition of the above recognizance is Such that if the above bounden
John Hitch his heirs or assignes do and Shall well well and truely pay unto the above Bounden
Named Mary, Richard, Phillis and Elizabeth Nicholson their heirs Executors admrs or assigns
the full and Just Sum of forty four Pounds one shilling and ten Pence when they shall
arrive at full age to receive the same according to Law and the will of the afd Richard
Nicholson dec.d then the above Recognizance to be void otherwise &c

    Ordered by the Court that the Sherrife of Somersett County bring a Certain Thomas
Predix of said County marriner Immediately into this court now sitting at Dividing Creek
to answer unto his Lordship Concerning all Such matters and things as shall be objected
against him on his said Lordships behalfe and Likewise to give security for his good
behaviour and appearance at June Court next &c

Joe a negro boy belonging to Charles Roach is adjudged by the Court to twelve years of age

        Bound to
Thomas Hollbrook
George Laneet Stockwell binds his son Samuel Stockwell
of his Own Consent unto Thomas Holbrook his heirs and assigns until
he arrives at the age of twenty One Years he being three years of age
the fifteenth day of February last the said Saml Stockwell to Serve his said Master his heirs
and assigns the full term of time afd in all Such Lawfull Service as his said Master should
Imply him in or about
                                                       In consideration of which said Service the said
Thomas Holbrook doth promise by these presents to Learn his said servant to write and
Read well in the bible dureing his servitude and at the Expiration thereof to give his said
Servant a three Years Old heifer and Likewise to find and provide for his said Servant
during his servitude Sufficient meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for Such
a Servant to have and wear &c
