60 Somersett fs Att a court of his Lordship the Right honrble Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the provinces of Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c held at dividing Creek in somersett County by his said Lordships Commissioners and Justices of the peace the third tuesday of march being the Ninteenth day of the same Month and in the ^Twelfth^ thirteenth Year of his said Lordships Dominion &.c Anno Dom 1727 present
Pursuant to an act of assembly of this province now in force the severall Justices above took the Oaths to the Government with the Oath of Justice appointed by act of assembly and they are Severally Subscribed the Oath of abjuration and Test and took their places on the Bench as abovesaid &c Proclamation being made in Common for the sherrife of somersett county to witt Francis Allen Gentleman makes Return of a pannell of grand Jurors as follows vizt
Whereupon proclamation being again made in Common form the Jurors afd so as afd Impannelled being severally Called Over by their Names do appear as above and Thereupon they are Sworn and Charged and sent out to Consider &.c soon after the grand Jurors afd being Impannelled had agreed to any presentments or made any bitts of Indictm.t Returned the foll^ow^ing presentments against Mary Tompkins, Alex.d Price Eliz.a Ackman, Thomas Mumford and Catherine Diall, thereupon the Grand Jurors are discharged and ordered that they be allowed five hundred pounds of tobacco for their publick service this Court and against the afd Mary Tompkins, Alex.d Price, Eliz.a Ackman, Thomas Mumford and Catherine Diall so as afd Presented It is ordered that Capias Issue returnable to Next Court &c Thomas Sirman son of Edward Sirman being arrived at full age to Chose his guardian Comes hereinto Court and prays that he may be admitted to chose a Certain John Collins as his gardian &.c which is Granted &.c Thereupon the said John Collins present herein court in his proper person is ordered to give recognizance with One Security in the Sum of fifty pounds Joyntly and Severally to Comply with the Law in relation to gardian's &c Thereupon the said John Collins together with Adam Hitch his Security both present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the |
